smoothing engine block.....

Hey guys thought id drop a line although not building a pro touring but a pro street thought id share some photos of my block i just got back from the machine shop.
406 SB machine work is done wanted to smooth and debure the block and get it painted and then take it back for the short block to be put in i'll keep you updated,

:thumbsup: Awesome work! I remember a few months back someone else sanding an iron block to look like polished aluminum.

What grade sandpaper did you use? I want to do the same thing to my motor.

Thanks used a griding stone on a side angle air tool and they use a 2" sanding disc on the same saide angle tool and got it really close and then used a disc on my grinder made to strip paint off metal more of a sanding smoothing disc worked real well, and a whole lot of paintents then used a quality etching primer! and base and clear!
