We are kinda short on Mopars here so I decided to pick one up and tear it apart just so we have a better distribution of cars.. :lateral:
Haha ok now time to get serious. It was originally a 318 car with an auto. Some guy dropped in a 440, did some crappy body work so he could sell it quick, and then I came along.

Nice project. I'm building a Challenger right now. Question: is the RMS triangulated 4-link (the street lynx) rear suspension RMS's own or is it just a repackaged air ride 4-link? Did he finally produce his own for e-bodies also instead of just the a-bodies.
Thanks and I look forward to more updates!

The street lynx is his own made for the e-body. Its basically an the air bar setup with coilovers but it is his. You can even look at pictures of both systems and you can see that its the same idea but there are differences in the parts. Goodluck!

So are the upper and lower bars adjustable like his A-body 4-link or are they the fixed black bars from the air bar setup?
Thanks

Both uppers and lowers are adjustable. Another reason its different from the air bar.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. I've been holding back on the air ride version because of the lack of adjustability. So does this one mount the shocks in the front or rear of the axle? The a-body's are in front.
I appreciate the insight and time.

11-28-2008, 06:47 PM
They are also in front of the axle, just like the a-body.
I didnt want to go with the air ride because of the added expense and Im still kinda hesitant on the performance aspects of it. All of the comparisons and tests they do are vs. the 40 yr old stock suspension systems. Anything you fork out big bucks for BETTER be an improvement over 40 yr old technology.
What I would like to see is a comparison of a car with aftermarket coilovers(QA1, Varishocks, whatever), upper and lower control arms, spindles, sway bar, the whole works. Run it around a track and then swap on an air ride setup on the same exact car and run it around the track. If it proves to be better, THEN I would be sold. Im patiently waiting..

wow small quarters you have there to work in. You're doing great though. Makes me want to see if I can get my TA into my single car garage. Car's looking good too. I love the fact that Mopar painted their engine bays the outside color.

Thanks. Its def not easy and makes for an interesting challenge. Def have to have the build planned out so I dont have to constantly keep taking out the car to flip it around. If I can get a cuda in there so can you.. Do it:thumbsup:

You might want to consider going with the US Car Tool frame connectors and radiator support reinforcements. They are the guys that designed and created the original contour fit sub frame connectors.

Just an FYI, the contour fit frame connectors should be fully welded the entire length. At least that's what we recommend for the US Car Tool version.
