I just finished this one 2 weeks ago. Was a numbers matching 1968 camaro SS 327 4 speed. I did quarter panel replacements, color change, swapped in a 502ci,tremec 5 speed and rear disk brake conversion. Power steering, power brakes,A/C and painless wiring was also added to this car.http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s300/flawlesscustoms/flawlesscamaro010.jpg

Looks great, I'm painting mine togethor as well, How did you tape up between the fenders and doors?

Bigtyme1 Hope this helps
Open up the doors and tape all the back sides of the doors and hinge area right to the edge of the door with 2in tape, a pain it the ass but you can tape it good. Then tape up the back of the fender jam with the door open again tape close to the edge
Stuff some paper in the hinge area to help stop any overspray.
Take some 2in tape and tape inside the edge of the door so the tape is hanging over the edge of the door so whe you shut it the door the tape will be blocking the door to fender gap to stop the over spary.

You can open the doors during the paint job and paint the jams at the same time but it's hard to get the back side of the doors and fender jams with out them looking dry.
That's going to be the tuff area without shooting it apart

pretty much like he said, pain in the ass. i actually taped inside of the jam area backs of the fenders before the final assembly, easier to get out after the job than to tape it up after its together. I always back tape everything
' need it or not" there is no such thing as to careful. This car got painted inside and out. the back side of everything is as perfect as the outside.http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s300/flawlesscustoms/work027.jpg

Great Idea's, I think i'm going to hit some area's with spray mask also.

Honestly the thought of using spray mask scares the hell out of me after seeing what it did to my car! But then again we don't really know how it was applied, how long it was on, and what the true attempt was to get it off the car....just my thoughts! ;)

Enough with the questions! Paint it already!! :D

Nice work. I like the idea of painting each side. I'm doing the same with my car except I wont be doing the basecoat/clearcoat. Probably just epoxy prime and paint them black.
