Just your basic "keep it simple" build I see. Of course when your a metal master, "keep it simple" takes on a whole new meaning....

thanks guys, but im just a novice metal shaper,my dad (larry) is much better. he came up with the design for the fender wells. when im working on this kind of stuff hes always giving me a whole bunch of much needed direction. these fender liners were tough , the first set i tried to build on my own ended in the trash. thanks again bill
ps this truck wheel hops terrible, any tips?

WOW!! what an awesome build.I love your work. Scott
WOW! That is some time consuming custom work. Did you move the radiator down? Are the stock fenders still under your work?
bill amsley

few dash pics ,starting on console. yes this is time consuming work but its worth it (dollar for dollar this custom fab work is worth every minuite). these are the last few fab items before i break the truck down for final paint. hopefully mid april, ill get hot and heavy on final paint.im shooting for colombus goodguys for completion. thanks for checking in bill

FWIW --- I'd continue the "rounded molding look" on the top of the console to tie it all together....
Super killer looking Bill!!

Man, Bill...brilliant work on this one! I'm new to lat-g, but have been lurking for a while searching for general pickup inspiration, and your C-10 build is a winner. Just spent a couple hours going through this thread, and wanted to say thanks for posting so many photos - I love these builds that you can follow from start to finish (well - almost finished!).

I'm assuming that you use a bead roller to do the "lines" but how do you do the "dots"?

Love this truck! So fantastic looking and the metal work is amazing. Two things I would recommend are headers and get rid of the Cadillac emblems. I think a great looking set of headers, either coated or stainless, would blend much better with the custom metal work under the hood. Those manifolds just stick out to me. The Cadillac emblems are a personal peeve of mine. If it's not a Cadillac, why have the emblems? Besides, here too would be a good place to add something custom that would blend in with the surroundings. Maybe a custom C10 badge, or a Bow tie that's machined from solid stock etc. Just my opinion though. Good luck finishing it out.

Sorry haven't checked in in a while. The dots were simple lay the metal over a 1.25 hole in a steel table & hold a large ballpeen hammer centered on the metal the hit the ballpeen hammer with a larger hammer. It takes a couple of wacks but it works nice .
