I was at the first launch of the space shuttle. Quite an inspiring sight. The sound though, when you hear it in the Rush song its one thing, in person it's just incredible.

Great shots!!

Awsome shots!! I got to see one launch in person about 8 years ago in Florida. It was amazing to witness!

I've always wanted to attend a launch. I think the program only has a few left.

Thanks for the pics! I'm about 2 hours north and I still had a nice view of of the launch. I'm gonna go see the next one up close before they get shut down.

I have yet to see a launch in person, we drove to see a night launch last year but it was a no go, did the countdown and everything. Had to be back at work so we had to drive back home, fun trip other then that...

I've been down there three time when it was suposed to launch, and it got postponed every time. Oh well Better safe than sorry.
Joel I was in Palm Bay, I have a piece of property down there. I was surprised I didn't see too many cars out ,it was January but the weather was nice.

We rode over, Don't know what I was thinking, I went the popular route. Got to the dragstrip at launch was close as we could get. Amazing watching Titusville light up like daylight 30 miles away!

AWESOME!

This area is sort of a employee, friends/family viewing. very near the media section. It's still takes a lottery to get in. These were shot by my friend Jesse since i didn't have my camera.

Maybe next time you'll have better luck. I should have bought some property in Palm Bay when it was dirt cheap. Next time you're down here go to Doubles Hoagies (corner of Nasa and Wickham) on Wed. nights. not a lot of pro-touring but some nice cars.
