Hey guys!

New to the forum so I figured I'd post up some pics of a project we have in the works right now.

Its called project Darkness because the car (and everything in it) will be black or a variation of black (satin black, flat black, semi gloss black you get the point)

Not really too much to look at right now, but it gives you a pretty good idea of what's to come.
The rear rims are 20" x 14" wide with a massive Mickey Thompson street radial on them. Massive lip on them, I could probably curl up inside one of these rims haha.

The chassis itself is going to be rediculous...cant explain, I'll just post pics as we go along.

We are trying to get 50/50 weight distribution for perfect handling. Soon we'll be bringing out the corner scales to weight the chassis to see what we need to do to get the suspention setup properly.

Once the car is off the chassis table and on its wheels, the roof line will measures 46in from the ground!

http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh193/RPM-2/Project%20Darkness/DSCF3593.jpg

Z06 stock manifold doesn't quite fit, but the aftermarket headers should.

http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh193/RPM-2/Project%20Darkness/DSCF3594.jpg

Slick Hurst shifter on the offset Viper shifter will make slamming gears real easy

Drivers side rear quarter removed, we're replacing them with new ones from Goodmark

http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh193/RPM-2/Project%20Darkness/DSCF3596.jpg

9" getting backbraced. We've decided to go with a 3 link and panhard bar for the rear to give better adjustment for handling.

Awesome build/work!!

One question, it looks like a real tight fit for a gas pedal...it this true?

RPM Motorsports
11-20-2008, 08:38 AM
Whoa, haven't checked here in a bit.

Yeah the rims are Coy's as for backspacing, I'm not too sure. I'll have to ask my buddy who actually ordered the rims.

The throttle wont be too bad, it does look tight but everything fits perfect.

Many more pictures coming....

Some rear sheet metal and wheel tubs

http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh193/RPM-2/Project%20Darkness/DSCF3712.jpg

Front brakes on the left, the rear's on the right. The rear brakes are actually front C6 Vette caliper/rotors. And the massive fronts are Z06 Vette brakes.

we are currently looking into using your products to finish this build. the due date is may of 09 and we are working non stop to make it there. The owner of this beast has given us the ok to build it the way we think it shouls so we have alot of idea's running. The owners dad is dying of cancer right now and we would love to finish it for him hense the name and the rush. A friend of ours always said that this is "Darkness" and it stuck on us and the project.

We have slowed down the the project due to a very busy schedule of the owner. His father has terminal cancer and is focused on spending time with him. We do have some new updates and we will post soon. Thanks so much.
We are working on a web site but it is not ready yet sorry.

Weber- did RPM hire you to to the chassis only or has this build become yours. Somewhat confused.
