One thing in particular that caught my eye was a new differential option. I know I've been interested in the availability of a Ford 9" differential(non Locker) that would support 35 spline axles. I have also seen the topic come up here and on other forums as well. The benefit is it then might be possible to just have a spare carrier built with a spool(note I'm assuming spline angles, etc would be similar). That way you could swap out just the carrier if you wanted to got to the track without having to buy all new axles as well. I think till now your only option was the 31 spline. I ran into this new -to me- differential company that is now making a 35 spline 9" differential. It is called WaveTrac and is similar to the other helical gear based diffs. Since it is brand new, only time and testing will prove if it is a real option but at least there is promise. This was just release for SEMA so I don't even think any have shipped. I did talk to Moser and it was indicated that they are planning on trying to do some testing with it. We can keep our fingers crossed I guess.

I also spoke to Eaton about whether they would ever consider a 35 spline 9" TrueTrac and the answer was no, not gonna ever happen. Sounded like they had been asked before. They say the reason is the larger axle would make the case to thin to fall within their tolerances.

Hmm what else...

FAST has a new EZ EFI kit that might be of interest to current carb'd setups looking to convert. Also a new LSx intake with removable runners.

Comp has some new LSx cams and rockers. Also the Pro-Magnums were redesigned.

GM has some additional LS based crate engines coming out.

SpeedTech had their subframe and rear suspension setup there and it looked pretty sweet.

Miller has a new Tig machine based on inverter technology with a price point that is more attractive to the hobby user.

The Fesler headers were awesome. Just like in the pictures here :-).

I picked up this tiny little video camera that comes packaged with a variety of mounts that would be great for track videos. It comes in a waterproof case and records to an SD card. They let us mount them on our go-carts at Pole Position Raceway tonight and they worked well. We just used the suction mount and they never budged even with all the bumping :unibrow:. The sound is a little muted because of the case but the video is pretty good for the money. The company is GoPro (http://www.goprocamera.com/). I'll post the link if/when we get the video from the go-cart track uploaded somewhere.
