So the anticipation is coming to an end, the big show is here!
So whats the first thing you want to go and check? the Hot Rod area? the wheel & tire arena? Outside? whats your favorite area?
Just curious what everyone likes and where they tend to spend alot of time?
Have a good time!

I cant wait to see The One Lap car, Bandit, Motiv8ter, and many more!!
Only two more days!! :woot:

This will be my first time at SEMA.From reading past post i'm sure i will be overwelmed by the whole event.Looking forward to seeing all the cars that will be there from this and pro touring board. personally I cant wait to see the wheel room. Its the hardest thing to decide on and seeing them in person should help to narrow down the choice for my project.I've talked about this for the past few weeks and my wife cant wait to get rid of me for a few days.

I always start in the main Hot Rod hall; that seems to have the majority of the cool stuff. You do have to look everywhere though, as there's cool items and cars everywhere, but that's where I start and spend most of my time.

First time for me too. I've got a buddy meeting me there who's been before. He said theres usually LOTS to see in the wheel/tire area along with wheels and tires. :wow:
They oughta make some of you wear nametags to give warning to us "mortals" that we are in the presence of Lat-G royalty.

Hot Rod Alley and the main auto makers displays is the place to be. Go to the Ford display and check out Webb's/Naff's Golden Sub, awesome to say the least. stay out of the wheel building, too far too walk, it's a joke. Lot of people pulled out this year.

very good point. You'll be doing a ton of walking, and there are few places to sit at the convention center, plus you'll be on your feet a ton after hours if you do the normal casino deal and tourist stuff, so good comfortable shoes are a very good idea.

If you want to see the girls, start in the wheels and tires...
Otherwise just start outside and then go inside, take a deep breath and pick an isle and start walking, you won't get far before you see something or someone cool..
If you have a map and an idea of who you want to see, that's a good place to start, but you still have to start down some isle to who knows where..
Just get started walking, by thursday you'll know who you need to look for and what you for got to see.
Wheels and tires is the most crazy, but if you can handle the crowd go for it.
by the way don't get caught in the back of any of the halls at closing, it's a very long walk to any where of civilization, don't ask how I know.

I've been twice and i've still never made it the whole way round & each time I was there for 3 days lol
I always leave the truck building till last as they don't interest me as much,
study the map and floor plan and try to prioritize before you get there
it is overwhelming and easy to get side tracked by ladies with posters ;)
also lost some time watching those crazy rock climbers and the drifting
good luck

I have been hearing from fellow co-workers that are at SEMA already that there are some big name companies that aren't there this year.

Yeah BFG and Procharger are the 2 biggies I know of.
Plus Ford downsized their booth inside. My buddies huge F-450 is outside a separate Ford booth.
didn't holley pull out as well?

yeah I just heard that holley isn't there.
I was looking forward to some NOS drinks.
I also heard Michelin isn't there.
Wow! I can't believe BFG pulled out.....
I heard that domestic attendance is down but international is way up this year...of course with the dollar worth less it makes sense.
Well, it's going to be a good time regardless..... A couple more hours here at the shop then I pack and get ready to head out there in the early AM! See you guys at the show  :lateral:

Well we are here and we have a booth in hot rod alley and we are busier this year than last year so I dont believe all the talk about it being down. I think for the most part things are well and people are still looking to buy and build cars.
