Hey guys, been lurking around here for a little while, figured I'd jump in. The "soon to begin" project is a 72 Monte Carlo. It's a numbers matching 454, turbo 400, 12 bolt with 3:42's. Factory special order black, pretty much every option available, even cruise and a map light lol.I got it with 65k, it's at about 67 now. I don't want to hack it up too much because of the options and such, but hey, It's my car and I want to enjoy some...ummm...spirited driving lol. I've been looking into air ride. I don't really need to lay the frame on the ground, not my thing. I've been looking at it more for ride, handling and on the fly adjustability. I would prefer to stay towards the bolt on side as opposed to cutting up the frame if I can avoid it. Obviously, there will be some trimming of the wheelwells and such to get a decent tire under it. I'm sure I will be harassing you with alot of questions as this moves along, but judging by most of the projects  going on here, mine is minor lol.

One suggestion would be to get another frame and totally build that one up with airbag or coilover suspension. then just transfer engine tranny body over and keep the original chassi if you ever want to put it back to stock.

Nice clean car! As you know you don't have to cut the car all up to have a great driver...plenty of bolt ons to get the job done!

One of the most underrated cars and on my very short list of favorites especially black on black! Nice car!

That is a nice car. Looks to be in good shape.
I would be kind of hesitant on doing too much to it, especially if it is a matching numbers car like you say.
But it is your car and more horsepower is always a great idea.
GOOD LUCK & keep us posted!!
