Marty (Syborg tt) generously donated a set of his hood pins to my project 71 Firebird... www.HoodPins.net

I'm leaning toward his polished/locking hoodpins but I need your help in decided which ones to use!

Can I vote for NO hood pins? Never been a fan...though they do look a lot better than they used to.

x2 :) , Are you running a fiberglass hood where you have to use hood pins?

It is a fiberglass hood. I've been looking to upgrade all areas of the car with safety in mind... it's gonna be driven regularly! Bigger brakes for safety, 3-point seat belts etc. AND hood pins will make the corners of the hood stay down over 100mph! :drive:

2nd hoop pins from the left. You want solid latching. Usually the locking ones have tiny little pins that are prone to fatigue and break. I have a CF hood and there is no latching mechanism. Hood pins are a must for that. I ordered a set from Marty a while back. Very nice workmanship.

Second from the left in full polished as your car has enough bright work on it to blend nicely!
