Breather placement

I'm going to be drilling my gm performance valve covers this weekend for my breathers. I bought a billet specialties breather w/o pcv for one side and another with pcv valve for the other. Is there any particular place to put these. Does the pcv need to be on a certain side? Do you offset the breathers with one towards the rear of the valve cover and the other side with towards the front of the valve cover. Or can I put them both towards the rear? I thought I read or heard that this matters do to engine torque.

put them wherever you want

If the valve covers do not already have them, try to install some kind of baffle at the hole so oil does not splash directly into the opening. Without a baffle oil can get sucked easily into the PCV hose due the vacuum there as well as splash onto the inside of the breather and drip.

I would also try to keep it out of alignment with a rocker arm oiler. A breather catch can is the best. You are going to get an oil mess out your breather on the valve cover eventually.
