Here's a turn-by-turn guide for the Green Hell. We just got the Logitech for GT5 and it is amazing!!! There are better simulators, but they are expensive - ranging from $20,000 - $160,000. I got to "drive" the $160k one at the Autosport Engineering show in the UK last year and it was incredible!

Good luck with your quest and training - I'm very jealous, I'd love to go to the 'Ring one day.

Holy crap 160k! Got a link to that Craig? I'd love to see it.

I had fun in my homemade simulator when I had it going. Alot(all) of my friends thought I was crazy for building it. I got a few crazy looks when girls would come over and they saw it. LOL!

This is a very nice unit:

I've "given it a go" at SEMA, PRI, and a ALMS race. It's a ton of fun, quite realistic, but extremely expensive.

The pics are at home - I will try to post them up this weekend. The crazy thing was that while we were at the show a guy bought one for his kids to play with. It is probably a little cheaper than that now - it is 80,000 pounds sterling.

Oh yes, don't freak out if you aren't even close to a sub 10 first time out. The GM engineer who set the record with the new CTS-V took three full days of driving before he was comfortable enough to go for the record.

It can be configured as a flight simulator or a racing simulator. Probably the best simulator I've gotten to use, because it also replicates the G forces of cornering, accelerating and braking.

Here's the link to the actual company-

Go here...
http://www.rfactor.net/

Then here to pickout the track, and a car of your choosing.

Also GTR Evolution contains pretty much any configuration of your desired track...

There is no simulator that will ever replace the sensation of the "real deal" but any of the sites mentioned above come as close to reality without damaging your pocket book everytime you "caress" the wall.
