Saw a post on the Chevelle site of a guy who makes aluminum spoilers for Chevelles. They're really similar to the first gen Camaro ones, and come painted flat black. I went ahead and ordered one for my 64, just installed it today. Had to get creative with the mounting as my intercooler eliminates the lower radiator support mounting holes in the middle, so I did some cutting to make it mount to the bottom of my intercooler support bracket.

I like it, not sure I'll keep it on there, but it does add something to the front end. Going to wait and see how I feel after having it on there for a while.

You've been a busy guy Jody. First the hinges now the spoiler? Look great!! Car looks killer. You're not to bad with the camera!! Maybe not Rupp material - but not bad!!

thanks Brent. Definitely not Rupp material, not even close. Just trying different angles and ideas with a crappy camera............

Showoff....that is a sleeper!!

you know, it's what I was trying for and now am second-guessing myself. At shows, people barely look twice, just cruising right on by. If they happen to get close enough to see the engine and turbos, then it's "oh ****!!!!!!" and they have lot of questions.

Kinda cool, but probably cost me a SEMA spot.............

If you look at it just the right way, sorta looks like it sticking it's tongue out at you,

The car looks great. I'm not sure what my opinions are on the spoiler. It certainly doesn't look bad, but it may have to grow on me.

The car is amazing. I love the simple - stock'ish exterior. It is soooo clean looking. I'm sure with the hood down, many people don't even consider that what is actually under the hood could be there.

I like it!

I think it gives the car a sleeper look.

I love the look, it's made me start second guessing my car's look. Been looking at how I can fit the stock hook again with the Procharger and quiet it down more.... I guess it's always that way, once it's "done" you second guess things...

I wouldn't change a thing Jody, I want to learn how to paint now cause I'm thinking about a darker color vs "arrest me red" for mine now.... Mostly cause I love your car and the sleeper look you gave it.

I like it alot, maybe you should look at what it would look like if it was painted body color.

you know, it almost makes me wonder what it would look like with a very short deck lid spoiler, maybe like the short 70-72 Camaro one, as far as size. I don't know, probably going off the edge here........... :willy:

Nah, probably not.:D

I'm on the fence with the front spoiler.
I think I like it better without the spoiler. Either way, VERY NICE CAR!!!

Gee, I wonder why I like your car so much:thumbsup: But I have to draw the line. You and I think too much alike. I have actually been looking for a deck lid "spoiler". I'm thinking more along the aluminum, drag race, points straight back - type of spoiler. Man, since your more "established" on this site, I guess for fear of seeming like I'm mimicking you, I need to coordinate and check with you before I do anything;)

When you start adding stuff onto a car that nice it is time to start a new project. Looks perfect as is.

my next project will be a track only car, probably a 70-73 Camaro with an LS engine. Unfortunately I am broke thanks to the Chevelle so that's on hold......... :D

Your car is to Chevelles what The Mule is to Camaros. Not just 69 camaros, CAMAROS PERIOD.

Your car is beyond wicked Jody.

I like the front spoiler Jody , makes the front look lower. Good choice.
Didnt you have black wheels on that thing? I liked them much better.

same wheels, just had the centers powdercoated silver. I wasn't wild about the black wheels with the car color so dark; I'm just too old I guess............ :D

Not sure how I feel about it. I need to think about it and look again too.... My first impression is that it is a little rounder looking and curved when the rest of the car is so boxy and squared so it looks a little off to me....

But the car itself just rips everytime you look at it!

Looks like someone put a 69 Camaro spoiler on the front of a 64 Chevelle.:D
