Hey guys. I'm looking for a much larger rear view mirror for my camaro. The stock 67 one is much too small. Is there another one that hooks up the same way, but is larger?

Mary Pozzi has a similar setup like you described in her '73 racer,I think it's a Longacre item.Great visability.

It looks like a kit that would attach to the old mirror, is that what it is? I would want a new mirror that is bigger, not something that attaches to the old mirror if possible.

Go to the junkyard with screw drivers, allen wrenches and a tape measurer and buy your three favorites. They should all attach the same way as your factory unit.

You can get a chevy or ford one that mounts to the windsheild on a metal tab.

Doesn't Dakota Digital make glass mounted mirrors with map lights? Might be an option.

I think Mark used a GM glass mount in the Mule.

Ryno Mfg makes one that could be anodized and is pretty slick I have used it in a few cars.

click under products
scroll down to rear view mirrors, don't mind all the mini truck stuff
You will find the universal, oval mirror

I could not figure a way to post the link, something to do with the website. Or me.....

If your interested let me know.

Thanks for the info, but it didn't look like they were all that big, at least the one you included in the pic. Ill call them and find out what the dimensions are. Thanks.

I remember what rear view mirror you are talking about...I will try and find something for you.

What was the final dyno numbers on your car? Do you have a dyno sheet?

Thanks so much. The last dyno we did was before the final tune, the water injection and the 10 pound pully. The number was just over 500, at that time but it should be in the 600+ range now. It's much faster now.

They are about 3" x 9". I have one in my truck project. They are bigger then the stock camaro mirrors. They would look super cool anodized.

Yeah that is bigger. Kevin at CAR called me as soon as he saw this thread and told me to get a 69 camaro mirror which is 10' compared to 8' for the 67-68 mirror.I found one on e-bay for $39. Thanks guys.
