Chris, I think the '70-'72 Chevelles are supposed to be the same as a 2nd gen Camaro.

^^ the same for me. I always avoid purchasing logo'd parts. I really hope you reconsider, I have been waiting to purchase some of your items.

I guess it all a personal opinion. Kinda of makes me feel prould to look at the logo's knowing I have met most of the people that make them and I feel I'm doing my part by advertising for them. If there wasnt logo's knowbody would know who makes them, then most of the adverage public would not have clue who to buy from. Lets face it, your not going to talk to every person that looks at your car. There' always that guy checking your car out, while your walking around looking at somebody elses car. Advertising is needed to keep the industrie going.

I really like these vents and will probably buy a set for my Camaro.

I also just bought a set of your fender braces and like them a lot, but I also have to say I wish they didn't say Felser on them. I have bought a some really trick parts only to have to there names machined off or had to cover up there name with some sort of trim piece because I not building a rolling billboard. If someone asked where I got a certain part, I'm going to tell them, and chances are even if your name is on it people are going to ask anyway's.

Just my 2 cents on logo's on custom parts.

You make some nice stuff, keep up the good work !

I agree, logo'd parts are deal killers, I machine the logos off (Edelbrock manifolds for example) or pull the stickers.

Nice parts, but I would buy someone elses braces or door vents before yours.

man I wonder how many Hood hinges were sold with DETROIT SPEED engraved on them? Just think how many they would have sold if they had no name.....but wait its DSE so its ok , right???

Damn guys , give the guy credit where credit is due. SWEET parts Chris. I will buy some for sure.

I didn't buy DSE hinges either....(I don't recall a logo machined on the parts)

No offense to Chris. In fact, I have the utmost respect for his shop, and all the projects. The websites he runs and the projects and shop are amazing. I was simply stating my opinion. Trying to build a unique car without it looking like I just ordered all the parts from catalogs and bolted them on is a challenge. Not using parts with machined logos or otherwise is a personal preference. For example, I spent more money buying fittings to do the plumbing on the car instead of the Jeg's brand, because I did not want the stylized "J" on them. Conversely, I bet DSE, Fesler, Troy (even you, Datsbad with all the cool stuff you've built) do the exact same thing.

Someone else made the comment, and I was in agreement. I figured the feedback would be good. Sorry if I stepped on toes.

Again, Badass parts Chris, amazing shop, and even more kudos to anyone running a business and making money building cars for a living, something I would love to be able to do.

The majority of DSE's logos are on stickers, which can be removed by the end-user if desired. On the hinges I've never noticed their logo, it's so small it doesn't stick out.

I understand where Chris is coming from, and he has every right to establish a logo and use it on his parts. I don't mind subtle logo's but some manufacturers go overboard in my opinion. Something small on the hinges wouldn't be an issue with me, but on those door jam vents it's quite distracting in my opinion. Instead of looking at the billet vent my eye immediately was drawn to the logo, initially thinking it was a scratch or something.

I think it would be smart on Chris' part to get feedback on this. The bottom line is to sell as many parts as possible, and if he's losing sales because of a logo he would like to know I'd think. I know Ron Davis has dramatically reduced their logo, mostly from the feedback I would guess. I will buy Chris' hinges when they're available for my car, logo or not, but prefer either none or at least a subtle logo., not something that is the first thing your eye is drawn to rather than the part itself.

X2. I have appreciated Pascuals stuff due to the non logo aspect also. People talk, word gets around, your stuff will sell. Logo not necessary.
Very very nice otherwise.

No, wrong. A barb from you at DSE, imagine that.

Just because some members say they prefer or not prefer the logo, doesn't mean they are not good parts. Chris is making alot of cool stuff. Many members have stated they like the various parts Chris makes.

OK I am going to step in on this one now, I do the logo for Brand Recognition just like every other company out there i.e. Coke, Dr Pepper, McDonalds and so on. No one went to them and asked them to remove their name on their products. You guys buy wheels, brakes, seats and many other parts because of the name on them. I don’t see anyone on this site asking them to remove their names. But I am listening and the deal is to sell sell sell.

I can work a deal and compromise for you guys, I will remove it from the center and put it on the back and maybe on the bottom very very small. I am building parts and I know people out there like and don’t like them, with that being said I also have to be my own advertiser and there is only one way to do that.

Now I know if you build cool parts people will buy them but this community is very small in the grand scheme of things and there are many people out there that don’t have a clue who any of us are and this is how we get them to know. I will work up a new one and post it up here for you guys and offer two sets.

Our new Fender Braces have a very small F on them the name has been removed so I hope that helps. Any inputs on all we do is great so keep it up please. We will never be offended because of what you guys think.

that's great Chris. I was hoping you'd take the comments in the thread as just feedback from customers or potential customers, not a slam or attack on you.

I appreciate all of the companies bringing new cool parts out for these cars.

Well said Chris.

To everyone else:
If you want something different, grind those logos from those parts in question off or find someone to CNC that one piece that has the logo on it for you (at your own cost) without a logo. Thats what will set YOUR car apart from the one parked next to you.

I think some companies like chassis works and some others will omit there brand on parts but they charge a premium, Chris maybe you could do the same just charge a little more to get rid of the brand.....
