new member here! have a 69 camaro that i,m putting a ls2 into it. need info on header selection if the hooker kit is worth it ,with the mounts as well. i,m converting it to carb,i have intake and carb but looking for a hot cam kit part number or a comp cams cobination, not sure what to do! any feedback would be helpful thanks mike.

use the search function... not to sound like an idiot.. but its been covered plenty of times....

another, propably even better source is to take a look at www.ls1tech.com in the conversions and hybrids section, there is a multi page writeup on that very swap, with part numbers and options galore...

You could save a lot of headache and buy the LS2 400/440 crate motor for $5k

It comes with everything accept carburetor and starter.

hi rich, i picked up this engine for $2k with carb intake , shorty headers, ls6 heads ,msd ,all the coils , it was someones project for a car they had ,and bought a harly instead.

thanks, for the info, i coldn,t remember the site , the site you gave me is perfect,i have just been going to my local gm. dealer there not the coldest beer in the fridge.. thanks mike

Oh yeah, ls1tech.com should be the answer. Tons of info on there for LS engines.
I would suggest getting rid of the shorty headers that you have now and get a nice set of KOOKS long tube headers. And get them ceramic coated.

thanks for idea , already sold the shortys last week , looking at hookers as well ,never thought of kooks ,don,t know if i can get them around here! have to get them on line. thanks mike.:thumbsup:
