Any updates on this new track? I know the first phase is open and the two road courses, but has anyone gone yet?
Do they have a 1/4 mile? Do they have open track days, test/tune, etc?
Looks sweet and the local scenery there is very nice; you wouldn't believe you were in NJ.

No plan for 1/4.
That was one of the conditions of state approval.

That sucks. From the photos it looks like it would be part of one of the road course, like they have at Infineon.
I wonder if E-Town and Atco had something to do with that? Can't understand why having a 1/4 would affect state approval. Why the hell does the state have to get involved anyway?
Unfortunetly the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (or DCA) has a say in any NEW commercial building, facility or project. Every plan must go through several of their review boards before it can go in front of the local (town in which the project resides) building department.
Welcome to NJ.

Born and raised, so I understand NJ politics as well as anybody. I guess the envelope was alittle, shall we say light.... It's actually amazing this was built at all. I wonder how many pockets got lined throughout the process.
I just wonder what would their "official objection" be aabout having a drag track. Some bs about noise like they try to pull at E-Town. They may have not even planned for it, but it just makes sense to inlclude it in a "motorsports park".

I'm only 10mi away, so I can probably help with some info.
I believe one of the later phases includes a 3/4mi trioval, but no drag racing. Right now it's two roadcourses and a karting track. There's no permanent seating yet, but things are just getting going. They've had a handful of events so far and I hear good reviews. I'm unaware of any "open" track days though I know of a few local clubs trying for some club days. Big, big $ though, from what I'm hearing. App fee is $500, then $15,000 admission fee. Dues are $2400 annually.
For what it's worth, this is a beautiful area, not stereotypical NJ. It will be interesting to see what NJMSP brings to the area - there isn't even a single hotel by the track yet. Other than the airport, it's in the middle of nowhere, at least for now.

i just got back from racing at that track with the ferrari f430 challenge while the rolex series was going on. the road course and lay out of the park is real nice except that its still not finished; meaning the tracks are but parking lots and everything else is still being finished. a lot of dirt parking lots. overall i thought the entire park was real nice and will be better once its entirely finished.
