I've been trying to figure out what wheels to put on my car for a few years now. I didn't want to spend a ton of money though either. I finally pulled the trigger and bought some Black Bullit Replicas. The rears are 17X9" with 255/45 tires and the fronts are 17X8" with 235/45 tires. I put Kumho Ecsta MX tires on it. They get really good reviews and are affordable too. I got all for for under $600 from tirerack.com.

I've tried a few different bumpstops on the top of the struts, but they aren't designed to be able to support the entire weight of the car so needles to say, they didn't work very well. I spoke with Darren at Air Ride and he suggested that I space the bag up and use the internal bumpstop that is built into the bag. Part of my problem is that I'm running Steeda X2 taller balljoints, which lowers the car about 1/2". The ratio of the spring mount location to the balljoint is about right at 2:1. ie: for each 1/2" I space the spring up, the balljoint will move 1". I had some 4" diameter, 1/" thick spacers machined and they turned out to work just right.

Anyway, here are some pics of the car. I'm still waiting on the center caps. I ordered plain black ones. The ones that come with these replica wheels are super stupid looking!

Notice how they don't stick out past the wheel opening - that's a pet peeve of mine. You see it often on Fox Mustangs

Nice work! Tastefully done. One of the nicest fox body cars i have seen. I especially like that it is not a hatchback car.

I picked up an LX coupe some years back when the Cal highway patrol was getting rid of them. Had the beefed up suspension. Was a fun car, did the flowmaster and edelbrock intake thing.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty happy with it, especially considering that it's pretty much all bolt on stuff, with the exception of the paint and bodywork.

I've got the itch to build some of my other projects, but the Mustang will do for now. Money isn't all that plentiful right now!

I had a 93 notch x-DPS car out of Austin TX. Very fun car.

I did the 5-lug conversion, cold-air, pulleys, exhaust, lowered it & slapped some original style 15" TorqThrusts on it (15x6's & 15x8's w/custom back spacing by Eric Vaughn). The interior was trashed though w/so many freakin holes in the dash & console. I replaced all of that stuff & freshened up the seat material to match the colors....

I sure miss that one but I sold it to get out of CC debt & I stayed out since '99. Your stance is sweet & the car looks great.
