... i feel like such a noob for asking this, but... i guess i have to.

I want to remove the heater box and blower motor, whats the best way to do it on a 68 camaro?

I feel like such a dork for asking but hell, i dont use the damn thing ... like ever, so i might as well clean up the engine bay a little bit.

I know on my A-body, the blower is attached with I believe 3 or 4 bolts. And by heater box are you talking about the thing under the dash or the box in the engine compartment? The one in the engine compartment is just bolts as well.

You can't hardly get around pulling the fender to remove the box and motor. Been there done that. just make a block off plate or buy DSE's piece.

If you remove it, you will have a big hole in the firewall, unless you plan to fabricate a plate to fill it.

[Napolean Dynamite voice]That's like the dumbest question EVER asked![/Napolean Dynamite voice] :_paranoid :D

I'd like to suggest using a plate to block off the holes, so that if you ever want to put a heater back in it, you can.

You either have to remove, or significantly loosen, the fender/inner fender because one of the nuts is tucked out by the fender. Some have cut a square out of the inner fender for access and made a plate to go back over. I too want to do this but I know one thing will lead to another.
