I sold a set of wheels from my camaro. I thought they were 17x7 w/ 4.5" BS and they are actually 17x8 w/ 4.5 BS. Will these work on a 69 camaro that is lowered 2", without rubbing?

Thanks, AM

17x8's with 4.5" of BS will most likely rub the trailing edge of the fender when you turn.

If they put a lot of camber in it, -1 degree or so, and if the car has a tall spindle or G Mod with a aggressive Camber gain, and if they change the upper outer inner fendewell bolts out with button heads, you might only have minor rubbing in extreme situations.

With a 235/45 tire you should be OK,I've run that combo before and my car is slammed low. While not ideal,it should work if your suspension is up to the task.

Yep. That's the case when I tried a 17x8" 4.5 BS with a 245-45-17 tire on my '69. I have Hotchkis front springs, button head hardware on the fender trim and lots of negative camber. Mine rubs slightly on the trailing edge of the driver's side fender while turning out of the driveway and hard right turns.
