love the car, read the article last night. :hail:
I have a question about the shifter boot and trim ring.. Is that custom or did you order it from someone?? Really liked that look without the conosle.
 Looks great! I'll be buying that issue for sure!

Thanks guys. I have been really anxious to see what it was going to look like. A friend got the magazine about a week earlier than me and he shot me a email that it was on the cover. I figured it was the top corner shot. Anyway its a great feeling when I saw the cover shot and probably something I won't be able to duplicate.
The shifter boot was made out of ultraleather by the interior guy and the ring is just cut out of sheet aluminum. I found that hurst sells an aluminum shifter rod which is which is a utility grade part but I like the matte finish.

Sorry forgot to answer MM
I showed it at Super Chevy in Dallas and the asst editor of SS Dakota Wentz (24 year old guy) came up to me and explained that he hadn't planned on doing any specific shoots but would be interested if I would help him that evening. Hell ya
All he could find for a background was a gravel road in the parking lot of the Ennis drag strip which I thought would be a strike against me for getting an article.
I know car sits a little low but if you look at SS articles thats what they like. My car has good clearance even with 3" exhaust. If I drag it will be the tail end of the subframe rails. I have 1" lowering blocks on the back and coilovers on the front so it can be raised really easy. Don't know if I'll do it though. It looks too mean.
Side Note: Dakota was to drive the Goodmark camaro from LA to Dallas but the car still has some gremlins. Left it at a ghetto shop somewhere in AZ
Thats awesome...this website has quite the resume lately! Congrats.

Yes I'll be there. USA-ZR1 are you bringing the EC or the ZR-1?
Also for anyone close to Dallas, North Texas Camaro Club is cruising the hill country of Texas on September 17-18. We are cruising at a reasonable speed for the muscle cars with low rear ends. We will tour the hills and lake country and stay Saturday night in Fredricksburg a quaint tourist spot great for relaxing and shopping for antiques. Its open to all types of cars.

I'll be bringing the El Camino,Tom. Had to sell the ZR-1 after I got sick.
That Hill Country cruise really sounds like fun. Where are you leaving from and at what time?

The Hill Country Tour will be the 2nd annual and last year was a blast. We will be leaving somewhere in Arlington probably 8:30 on Saturday morning. But I can firm up details as it gets closer.
