Hey guys, i did a search but i couldn't find anyone discussing the labor involved in this. I received a quote from an authorized DSE dealer for around $1800-$2800 in labor to install the quadra-link setup, depending on the condition of the car. Does this seem high to you guys? I'm new to this thing, so i may just be seeing the sticker shock of building a g-machine for the first time, but when he told me that on the phone i studdered "what was that?" :_paranoid Thanks for the help guys!

Are you doing mini-tubs as well? 40 hours of labor is pretty typical for that project, depending on what other surgery may be needed.

Yup, I've been going through the same process. Any kind of fab work will run you between $65-$100 an hour for labor. Price of the game I guess. Looks like I need to polish off my welding skills.

I have a friend of mine who is getting a 67 Chevelle built in Ohio (I think) and the builder is charging $38/hr. I'll find out the name and where he's at.

Okay, here's his contact information.

Don Pearson (937) 550-4472

He's located in Carlisle, OH.

I know nothing about this guy other than my fiend is currently using him on his 67 Chevelle resto. Of course, the car is not finished yet, so i can't speak of quality. Give him a call and let us know what he says.

DSE does these installs...ask them what they would charge. You can bet they do it faster and at least as good a job...if the installers have a problem they just open a door and ask the designer...if they weren't part of the design team to start. Might be worth the cost of shipping your car there...
Good Luck!

We have done enough of these to know what it takes and are pretty efficent at it. Depending on how you bring us the car. If the interior is out and all were doing is installing the Mini tubs, Q Link and rear, not including finish work (re: no painting comonents / body areas), your looking at 32 hours for the tubs, and 24 hours for the Q Link including the crosmember for a rolling project. This assumes we are doing the axle brackets also which includes setting pinion angle. If you buy a DSE pre welded Q Link ready rear, take off about 4 hours
