The wheels look incredible!! Can't wait to see them in person!
Looks great man....I wish I could get some. Could you post a front shot(looking at the tread) of how the Nitto 275/40/18's fit on the 10's. That is the same size I am running but on BFG KD's. Just kinda wanna see how these tires look width wise in comparison.
Thanks!

Jon had my rear pads shaved just a bit to afford me a little bit more clearance.Notice how the rear edges of the spokes meet the edge of the pads in the fronts vs the rears as well as how much further the centercap is sunk in on front vs the rear...front b/s is 4.875",rears are a custom-made 5.625"

I will unfortunately be gone until Next Tuesday due to a death in the family. We will be up in Sacramento until Monday night. If anything comes up, you can try my cell phone.
Thanks again for running our wheels, and we are pleased to be of service.

I did mount them up this morning but then we put in several hours on trying to finish up the inside of my garage so I kinda got off track.
First off,I seriously had my reservations about trying to shove a 10" wide rear on my car since it sits so low but I should have known better than to doubt Jon Henson's knowledge and years of experience when it comes to fitment. He nailed the b/s and look on my Chevelle earlier this year so I knew I was in good hands with him but still...this car is on the ground!
Jon's little tricks and advice have made me a very happy customer today and I cannot stress enough what a great asset he is to this community.Anyone who is looking for the perfect tire/wheel combo should look no further then to Jon @ www.driverzinc.com. I am so stoked...these pictures do not do the car justice.I had a couple of buddies stop by my home today along with my "car" neighbors and everyone agreed that they look SICK,SICK,SICK...!

Still rocking and rolling wheels out in about 4-5 weeks over here. Thanks again for all the support gentlemen, we appreciate greatly the support from our customers, and genuinely like getting to know and work with all of you!
Chris, you will be well taken care of, no worries, your wheels are already going to have the deepest wheel lip possible, since it is at MIN backspace, the pads won't make a difference in this case. The wheel center will be pushed all the way back towards the drop center of the wheel. That's a HUGE lip!
Thanks again!

Hi, Im new to this site. I like the look and stance of your 69. Looking to make mine sit the same way. If you dont mind me askin a couple questions, how much is your car lowered front and back, is it mini tubbed at all and what are you running for a front suspension ie, control arms, spindles and springs. I wanted to do 18s front and back and was wondering the max width and backspacing I could run. Yours looks perfect and since you say you have no rubbing, Id like to do the same. Thanks

Strange comment:rolleyes: ...considering the Nitto tires are among the best handling tires available, regardless of where they're made.I also happen to like the way they look, which is a biggie in my book.
Some of those other performance tires have some strange tread patterns that I would not put on one of my cars...regardless of price.

And Nittos are good tires. I run them on almost all of my personal vehicles. Just because a tire is made in Japan, does not mean its crap, its a very high quality tire, and I stand behind all of our customers who have, and are running Nitto. To each their own, but clearly you've never run Nitto tires, and can not speak from experience. They perform... period. So lets agree do disagree, and leave it at that, I think this conversation is not adding anything constructive to the thread.

hey guys, youre missing the fact that he lives in a cave (check the profile). if i lived in one, i wouldnt get out very often. it would be nice storage for the chevelle, except for all the bat crap that would get on it.
btw, if its just the fact that theyre not made in the US, youre way behind the curve. the aluminum that your wheels are made out of is most likely not mined in the US. get over it and post your pics. also, i checked out the other mfg's of the size i needed and they were all twice as much. if i thought i was getting twice the quality, i would do it in a heartbeat. i have had no expense spared on this project, but i just dont see the pt.

Michelin- Made in Mexico
Pirelli- Made in Italy
Nitto- Made in Japan
Your argument just lost all its relevance.
Most tire manufacturers make a great tire. I personally choose a tire by the size, tread wear and lastly pattern. Both the NT01 from Nitto and the Pilot Cup are great street/track tires. To say one is undeserving because it was not made in America is just plain stupid, when none of the brands you mentioned were made here either.

Why do people have to be so ignorant of facts?
What tires are actually MADE in the USA? I know for a fact the Pirellies are made all over the world. I also know that most Goodyear tires are made overseas, including CHINA.
I think Cooper tires are made in the USA still... not many others though. So, this whole "don't put foreign tires on your car!" deal is pretty lame and not well thought out.
And what makes you think a Nitto or Toyo tire is any lower quality than a Goodyear tire? Is the Goodyear tire better if it was made in China?
It's logical fallicy to assume that because the company is American held that the tires are American made.

WOW!! I guess trying to support your country is now a bad thing??? Yes, we all should look to buy American when available. You are supporting the Country you live in, doesn't that make sense???
I do agree with buying the better product but I personally look for the MADE IN USA sticker regardless of what I am shopping for.
USA Co's are forced to have their products made overseas in order to compete. Still buying from a USA Co keeps the money here even if they outsource the mfg'ing.
Buy whatever you want but the job you save may be your own!!

The point is that almost NO tires are made in the USA... and most companies that people THINK at USA are actually held, in all or part, by foreign companies.
So is it better that I buy a Silverado made in Mexico or an Accord made in Arkansas?
Buying your tires for an AMERICAN dealer probably helps more than what tire you're buying.
I try to buy USA for my car, but with some items, like tires it's just nearly pointless (and nearly impossible).
Also, the argument that a foreign tire is "junk" just because it's "foreign" is ignorant.

Ok, I'm off my soapbox..
I'm calling Cooper tires in the morning to see if they make a 335/30/18 tires.. ;)
btw, theyre the only ones that make the 305/35/20 that i need
really? there the only mfg that make that size? i dont think so !
try here http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp?width=305%2F&ratio=35&diameter=20&startIndex=0&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&RunFlat=All&x=70&y=8
dont get too upset i'm just saying nice wheels deserve good tires
For the record, only one of those companies are American (Goodyear) and there's zero reason to assume that tire is made in the USA since most of thier tires are made overseas.

you should read the thread first, i didnt bash nitto i called them foreign thats all.i like the rims too.im sure if iran/north korea made good tires youd put them on your car, but not me sorry.
Actually you "get some good tires" which implies that the Nittos are not "good".. which I guess means you said they are "bad"
Then you told us to buy AMERICAN tires and listed a bunch of companies that aren't even American owned.
Might want to try that Google deal next time. :D
