I would like to start off by saying thanks (sarcastically) to everyone that failed to tell me how much of a pain this was going to be....hahaha. WOW....after a little over a month, I just barely got the front clip sanded down to the metal. Alright, I decided to take the easy way out and have my buddy take my car to the sandblasting place in Santa Ana, Ca. on Thursday. At least this way when we get it back we will know any problem areas and can immediately start on the building process. Until next post......

Finally got the car back from the sandblaster. Not happy with the company I used. Still a lot of body filler left on the car, especially the roof. The roof was the main reason I decided to get it sandblasted. Well I guess now I have to start working on finishing their job.

Here is a roof shot. The car had a vinyl roof and the paint & body shop I bought the car from did not fix the roof properly. I am going to finish sanding the roof and then the sandblaster agreed to lightly blast the roof to get rid of all the rust.

The project is looking good. Make sure that you get every little bit of rust off of that body before you prime it. have it blasted again or use a wirewheel or a scotchbrite wheel in all the pitted areas. You don't want to go down this route again. Good luck, Jon.
