I followed the link in Scott's sig from another board to the Lateral-g homepage, (a long time before this forum even existed) checked for updates daily, then one day I saw a link to the forums and the rest is history.
It's been home ever since.
I used to email Scott a longgg time ago...I was like 14 and just got my car. He had his rinky dink site with pictures and I loved the red/white paint! So I have just followed his growth, and he sure has come a long way.

I am not sure. I want to say that I found pro-touring very early when the site was formed and found Scott's site when he did his from his signature. I have been lurking for years..or so it seems.
This is the place I call home for all of my car hobby fixes.

I had this guy bugging the crap out of me through e-mails. :D His name was Scott. One day he decided to visit his friend Brent Dupont in California and wanted to also meet the guy he'd been bugging for so long, as well as another jackass Charley. The rest is history!!!!!!!!!!

Scott found me on Team Chevelle, saw I lived about 20 miles from him, and invited me to meet up at a local cruise-in... I mentioned my pro-touring buildup, and he invited me here :)

Scott found me on pro-touring dot com and I came on over.. nice place :)
Ahh, so true. I've been bugging Jody for a looooong time. lol
We've come a long way in a short time. I registered the domain name Lateral-g.net on August 31st, 2003 - less than 2 years ago. I purchased vBulletin in November of 2004, and went live with it on November 23rd, 2004. We now have 780+ members. It's just crazy. I NEVER planned or expected ANYTHING like this. :)
A few years ago, I was using the free space that my cable ISP provided to host the website I build with MS Word (lol), and now we're on a dedicated server moving up to 100 gigabytes a month.

Random internet search for Big red that turned into a search for "1969 Camaro." Eventually one led to this Lat-G.
So far its my biggest inspriration and motivator. I will have a car in the member's section one day.

I found Scott through his sig. on another site. Man this site has grown fast and has the best company around. I must say I'm on this site 99% of the time for all my viewing and educational needs. I can't tell you about the other 1%. Again, thanks Scott for all the hard work and dedication for bringing us all to a place of friendship. Even though most have never met.
Scott
Thanks guys, I really appreciate the kind words. It means a lot coming from this group. :)

I think I clicked on Scott's sig at PT.com to look at his car. I only posted once or twice on the old board when it would be only a few posts a day basically between Jody, Scott and a couple others. lol.

a Lesbian chat room. now that is funny, and i don't care who ya are.....
I found lateral-g because of the 8 turbo chevy...I was an admin/part owner of a site called turborides, and after i saw that car, i just had to invite scott over to check out our site. (which he did by the way).......i have been addicted ever since. I know i was gone for a while, but after the falling out with my partner at turborides, i decided to just start my own website, which is www.insanemustangs.com While building the site, i have a link's set up in my site, well i had to put lateral-g in there. So after i got my site running smoothly and with out alot of error's, i felt it was time to start swingin back over here and get to know some of the totally awesome people that are here....
Kudo's to scott for having the time to build such a great site, and kudo's to the member's for making this such a great site......i tell people i know, if they like chip foose and want to see better, then swing by lateral-g.net

I'm a lesbian trapped in a man's body! :unibrow:
I think I found the site through a search engine. Couldn't stay away from the awesome cars! Maybe one day mine will compare. Besides, when Jim left, there wasn't really any reason to stay at the lesbian site!
I'm a fairly new member and met Scott on this year's Power Tour while riding with my friend Tom in his '69 PT car. I think Tom bought his Tremec from Scott and that's how they came to know each other.
Scott and Jody showed up at our car in Nashville and Scott took pics of Tom's car to put on here. I had my laptop with me and thought I would have a little fun with Scott by heading right to my room that night, pluggin the laptop in, logging onto this site and asking where the pics were? :D
Since that trip, I'm now hooked on PT and am looking at converting a Pro-Street car (have to sell my stock '68 big block first though) to a Pro Touring car.

I kinda met Scott over at P-T.com and saw his site in his sig. It was just pictures at the time...... Ok, so there were some words too. ANYway, I'd check the site for updates on his car and I've been here since. Not to get off subject, but I've noticed that the updates have gotten fewer and further apart...... :P
Yeah, yeah... Before you say anything, I don't tell anyone what I've done to my car till they ask. So there. :willy:

I'd been a member of Pro-Touring.com since its inception and I had a buddy send a link to me of the Banks set-up on a thread on here. I started navigating through the rest of the site and I was hooked. Scott has done a great job maintaining it and being innovative with it.
Definately my favorite forum.

I used to live in MN and met Scott through a friend. I too can remember when his web space was about his car and it has grown to a very informative site about pro-touring and turbos.
If yall have never met Scott face to face.... he is one hell of a guy.
Keep up the good work Scott !!!
