As part of registration requirements in Australia, vehicles are required to have an illuminated gear position on automatic shifters.

I'm running a B&M Hardcore Street Bandit shifter, and have converted my original cluster to hold 5" Autometer Speedo (hall effect sensored) and Tacho. I have also made up a bezel to hold my fuel/oil/water guages in the centre section.

I'm considering running this little cluster from Dakota Digital to show my gear position, and indicator/high beam/park brake status.

And the controller box for it:

Can i run this controller box ok with the linkages for the B&M?

Are there any other alternatives out there? What do you other guys do for indicator status when you convert to autometer guages? I don't particularly like the look of led's placed onto the instrument cluster. They look like a bit of an afterthought.

Lokar makes some that are pretty nice looking. I have no experience with these kits but I have considered using them in the past.

Thanks, i like the look of the lokar units, i might consider one of these instead. Seem a little bit cheaper too.
