Well everyone seems to think that all we work on are Novas. So I thought I might show you a few pics of the Novas we have currently.

Most everyone knows about Johns, well here is pic of her on the scales.
She weighed less then 2700 lbs at this point. All of the drivetrain is installed.

Then there is Brians bad ass 63 we just got back from Powder coat, It is getting ready for some body work. Those Fikse's sure look good.

Then there is a sneak preview of a little convertible with the mock up drivetrain..... UUUUMMMM

Oh but there is more

Then for you turbo guys we have dual 91mm turbo's on a 400 inch sbc. It should run 6.90's in the 1/4 mile here in a few weeks once we begin track testing. It is in for some bar changes and exhaust work.

We should be starting on another turbo 66 or 67 nova in few months with a twin turbo LSX engine. Both cars are being built to run in PSCA and West Coast Hot Rod.

Enjoy

It amazes me how much power those turbo guys make with those big ass turbos. It is also manzing to hear them spit and bang and pop when they take off from the starting like as they are cutting out the cylinders. Can you imagine the first guy who did that and how many times must have let off thinking something has to be wrong.

check out this video

That sweet sound is the "anti-lag" which retards the ignition timing to allow the fuel to burn in the header to create more heat to get the turbo's to spool.

Do you have a wastegate on the intake pipe before the throttle body? Nothing like building 40psi at the turbo and only letting 10psi to the motor but once you leave letting 40psi hit the tires!!! :wow:

We are just getting this Car going. The owner is going to Fly this guy from New York out to tune it, Job from Turbo People. I think they leave on as much boost as they can there are no waste gates in the cold side just a big ass ice chest in the front seat and a fuel cell full of ice in the trunk. Then traction is just a matter of good boost controllers. Of course after I have just gotten the nitrous deal somewhat figured out Roger decides to build a turbo car. Oh well I'm always down to learn more and more.

Well I guess this nova makes 5, it left last week.

I feel bad about you changing the company name from "Ironworks" to "Novaworks" so may I suggest the following:

"NOVAWORKS, A Division of IRONWORKS"

All the Novas in the shop are awesome!

I doubt that, we usually go east. We are talking about going to Texas again for the big race in the fall. The farther east you the more them boys really haul ass.

You should come come to the super street car nationals in vegas the weekend after SEMA. All the big boys are there.

If you going to Columbus look me up, we are trying to put togther a dinner Thursday night.

Rodger, You should bring those out here to the 6th Annual Shakedown at E-town Outlaw Shootout. Held on Saturday & Sunday, October 4 & 5, 2008. This two day event will feature three qualifiers on Saturday for Pro Outlaw, Outlaw 10.5, Heavy Street & Drag Radial. Eliminations on Sunday will include these four classes competing in 32 car fields. 100's of the quickest outlaw door cars in country.
Worth the trip with or without a car in competition !
Do a search... I am sure there are several videos on youtube of Tim Lynchs record setting 6 secong pass on 10.5's.
