I'm new so don't shoot me if this is old news...:D

Found this link recently....

http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=19

Some cool stuff on there. Since PHR isn't doing an art feature would it be cool to do a Friday (or even just monthly) art show here?

mark me down under the "for" vote column. Cool forum too .... the rats call to me ... not to mention the black hair, red lipstick and stockings.

Lol! :D

I did a simple illustrator rat rod truck a while back for a speed shop T-shirt. Had to keep it to as few colors as possible for printing so it wasn't shaded much but it came out pretty cool. It's easy to get the rat look in photoshop but been playing with illustrator a bit to see what I can come up with. Little more challenging but I think it can be done...

Out here in Utah Rat Rods are getting pretty big at the major shows. Some of them look like major piles but some are done so cool you gotta stop and look it over for 10 minutes.

Rats are one of the harder renderings to do for me.they always tend to take up so much time...I do dig em though:thumbsup:

Nice! Love those early 40's Fords.

How do you guys like to post your art here? Do you link it to your website or is there a way to do a quick attachment? Sometimes my photoshop art is mega megs before I jpeg it so even the jpeg is big. How big of a file can we post?

Hey DV- Just checked out your portfolio, Nice work!

Love the wagon concepts. I used to have a 65 Nova Wagon project but had to sell it when I moved from Florida to the west. The Cutlass satisfies my craving for now but when the funds are there I want to do another 60's wagon. Dug the link to the wagons too! Cool stuff!

i use www.photobucket.com and that will give you an image link so that you can see the pic in the forum post. I dunno if that is pref, but it is for me. I dunno if there is a file size limit but as long as you're making your jpegs 72dpi it won't make much difference I shouldn't think, even on the highest jpeg setting. Anyway, welcome. I'm gonna have to nose around your site when you get it up and running again.

Thx for posting that site, very awesome, YES we should do monthly/weekly art shows here too. I went to a Good-guys show w/ my buddy who is in his 50s who had older brothers, all into hot rods and rat rods etc. So he is educating me on the whole thing

I love old school rods, esp. rat rods. I'm starting to add them to my wallpaper section. I'm focusing on photography w/ probably pencil (detailed sketches) by hand. I look at a computer to much to add more time in front of one doing digital renderings. I'm in Information Technologies and it's kicking my butt.

Check out the OddBall Kustoms on my site

The 40 ford you posted is a picture rather than a link, is that how it works?

I have a friend working on the site. I've got a booth at a car show in mid July, hopefully he'll have it up by then, taking forever...:(
