Newbie to Lateral-g with 79Camaro

Hey,

Well like it reads, I'm in the process of Pro-Touring my 79 Camaro Z-28.

I started out with an interest in drag racing so I rebuilt my .060 bored 350 with Keith black hyperutectic pistons, file fit rings, added some SR Torker 170cc intake 67cc chamber World Product heads, had some bowl work and porting, Howards cams flat tappet .512 lift 237 duration @ .050, Crane 1:6 roller rockers, Proform main body on a 650 double pump, Performer RPM intake, Mallory distributor, Flexalite dual electric fans, Centerforce dual friction clutch in a Borg Warner Super T10, Lakewood traction bars, Aurometer sport comp guages. The car ran a best of 13.15@ 103 mph.

Now I've added some APC racing seats with G-Force 5 point harness.

I'm now looking to paint and get some 17" wheels this winter.

Looks sweet as hell you may want to look at http://www.maxgsystems.com/presenter/portal/page.aspx?key=Max-G-Home i love there rear set up gives you a good sub frame connectors with it.You may want to lose the apc seats most people i know that owned them has broke them.

welcome aboard, Love to see 2nd gens as I own one. The maxgsystem is good but very expensive. Another option is the Heidts bolt on 4 link. This kit sales for $995 not bad for complete bolt on.

If you could consider 18s there not much bigger at not too much more expensive but make a big fifference in handling and looks.

I also think you need to go 18" over 17" on a 2nd gen
Sweet car no matter what though.

Well unfortunately money is an object and 18" wheels and tires are not in the budget, just like the APC seats compared to the Sparco, the Grant steering wheel and not the MOMO.:(
