Hey, Ive been going over and over in my head the way I plan to cut up the back of my chevelle for a 3 link and have a question about how I should tub the back. I am a bit nervous about what I should cut and what I should keep in order to keep things fitting good and reduce a lot of work for my self. Im going to be building a 3 link more or less from scratch and will be narrowing the frame rails for my big new wheels and its come down to how I will cut out the tubs. As I look over how the tubs are in there I dont know If I wanna cut the whole tub out or just the inner half and install a new aftermarket style tub or to minitub it. The nervousness comes from having to remove the trunk brackets and tension rods and not knowing how to make something else work, the inner tub being intergral with the seat back bracing and the tub being welded to the inder quarterpanel sheet metal. Im not sure if Im gonna be weakening the body by just cutting that stuff out without doing something to fix it and I have absolutely no idea what to do about the trunk lid brackets. My thinking was that it would be easiest to just do the full tub but again I dunno If I have to weld it to the inner quarter and the seat back bracing. Plus what is a suggestion on the brackets? Im just looking for some helpful tips to ease my mind before I cut my nice trunk up. I wish I had the mindset of my friend which is, "just start cutting" but I like to have a nice plan of what Im gonna do so I dont have to experiment or do things twice or more to find something that works. As far as minitubbing goes, its cool to have a stock looking yet widened tub but personally I dont care about that and actually think aftermarket tubs look cooler and more race car like not to mention it is A LOT of work to do correctly. So if you can help me out with this lemme know, I really dont wanna ruin my car and cant afford to do it over.

It seems I read an article that said the tubs used on this project were sold by YEAR ONE
