One thing I saw in the link surprised me. Scott did everything first class on his car, so how does he not have tailpipes?

Sounds like the exhaust tail pipes were to close to fuel lines and could be creating a vapor lock issue. So they removed them.
This damn vapor lock issue is a problem. Scott did the same setup I did so I am watching this one. There has been so much talk about the regulator in the back and the single fuel line to the front. I hope its not a problem.
Actually I read that he was running w/out tailpipes in his WOT thread. (Maybe he didn't put them back on since the new Corsa's were 2-1/2" instead of the FM 3".) That would probably mean that hot exhaust gases were blowing straight onto the pump/regulator possibly leading to vapor lock.

That's it. With the big tires, big brakes, hot conditions, narrowed compact rear , not having tail pipes probably just created too much heat. I'm sure Scott will fix at home later. Bad ass car.

I ran the regulator in the back and a single line to the engine. Hey, it's good enough for every GM car including the Camaro and Vette :)

Looks like nice weather! Thanks for the pics!
Yep, ran out of gas, but not sure what's up with that. I only went 187 miles when it ran out. Fortunately, Mark had a gallon or two in his trunk that I put in, then we siphoned about 3 gallons out of another car for insurance, then drove 8 miles to the next gas station and it only took 4.6 gallons to fill the tank. That's roughly 20mpg and in line with what I've been getting, but I've gone quite a ways further between fills before.
Oh well, makes for a good photo op.
Thank God the heat is behind us. Little Rock was ugly.

If that doesn't work just search "power tour".
I'll let Scott Explain..............
The parking brake shoe sheared off inside the hat and was bouncing around. We pulled over and I pulled the rear wheel and caliper, but I couldn't get the rotor off with the tools we had, so it had to stay that way until I got home Thursday night and use my shop. Going down the road it was fine, but when traveling less than 20mph, the parking brake shoe would make all sorts of ugly noises.
I rolled home this afternoon, and the total miles I put on the car since leave home a week ago friday was 2,495 miles. I had a vapor lock issue, a fuel pick up issue, and a broken parking brake. Overall I'm really happy with how everything went.

Even with a few "new car problems" it seems it was a blast! The weather could have been better I am sure, and I feel for any of you guys in the flood areas. But it was great to see the car finally out on the road and getting driven!
I have about 5k miles in over 3 years and had a few more problems than that :D ! So I say you are doing well haha!
Got a PowerTour photo album in the works????

For a Bad A$$ car you assembled in your Garage, I'd say that is purdy damn respectable.

Overall I would be extremely happy as well, Scott. For a brand new car on it's maiden voyage - that's not bad at all. Goes to show the quality of car you built. Looks like you all had a blast.
