I'm mocking up brake lines to mount to my new DSE subframe and want to mount the small "L" brackets to make the transition from hard line to the flexible brake line. What fasteners do you guys recommend, no access to the inside of the frame rails or frame cross member. I hate to use self taping stuff. I think its to thin to drill and tap. Whats your method? Thanks Rich

You can drill and tap it or use self self tapping screws after drilling a pilot hole. I have done both on mine. I did tap the brake hose brackets and remote oill filter mount. The brake hardlines I used self tappers.

If you don't want to use self-tapping screws you can go with a threaded nutsert. You can google rivet nutter or see the link for what I 've used.

I didn't buy it from there but it is the same kit.

Btw is there a "bolt" on brakeline kit for DSE frames?

Don't think your gonna find a direct bolt on, although the frame is not far from stock in its apperance so perhaps you could persuade an oem kit with a little bending here and there.

It wouldn't work, better off bending your own lines.
