Im looking for a 2 car enclosed gooseneck trailer. Prefer all aluminum, but will consider steel, white in color. It can be a few years old, but has to be "like new" condition..

Thanks, SW

Don't have a trailer but had to chime in and say your 69 camaro is sweet!

You probably have noticed I've posted a few pics of it over here on lateral-g for the guys to see before I realized you were a member. I found it over on PT. Hope you don't mind but I couldn't resist. :)

how soon do you need it? im in the middle of getting all the pieces together, 40' steel chassis, alum wall framing, lamilux siding, 2 axle air ride(20,000#), front "living" qtr, water etc. 2 mid-size cars would be a squeeze, but do-able(i think)...... it could always be made longer and throw another axle under it.

let me know what kinda overall length and weight of the cars. empty trailer should be around 10-11000#

That sounds like a nice trailer, I would throw the 6th axle under it at that length. Any idea how much you are going to have in it...or more to the point, how much you are going to get for it?

the reason for only running 2 axles right now is... i was only planning on hauling 1 car at a time.... or 4 bikes.... quads and a sand rail...etc. basically so i could live in it at the dunes, race track, or if my chick throws me out :D i dunno if 2 cars would even fit... unless ya did away with some of the "living" area. and running full midsized cars the weight is gonna be getting close to the load rating on axles and tires...so a 3rd axle is gonna deffinatley be needed.

the intial cost of building it is a lot...even though i scored on the siding and air ride set up on a semi finished chassis. the plan was to make it low when parked... loading.. etc. to matched my bagged crew-cab dually

as for finished price..... i hadnt really thought about it too much. i guess it would depend on how "finished" the inside is.

im thinking i wanna do a full aluminium chassis/frame with the lamilux siding and slide outs. but i would have a hard time "modifying" the existing chassis, pluse i really wanna get the weight down under 10K.

the time frame is a bit of an issue unless its a "sold" deal.... as i am building it at work on my "free" time.

oh and to directly answer your question.... i would have to be offered around 65k finished the way i wanna do it.

i looked at a lot of cheap junk built enclosed haulers for 20-30k... so i dont think the price is too outa line considering its one-off custom built/ and huge.

SW, racing junk dot com has bunchs of trailer dealers with new and used. Funny thing about enclosed trailers is they do not depreciate, so might as well by new. I also need a 2 car trailer, I am looking at a no frills 48' for $16k and change. There are a few to pick from on there.
