I have done a lot of searching concerning suggested fuel pressures for fuel pressure regulators. Almost all builds that I find are for higher horsepower cars. Mine is a daily driver with very little in the way of performance. It is a stock carburated 350. I have made changes to improve the day to day performance like HEI and MSD, some electric fans, 10si alternator, and that sort of stuff. I have been working on the fuel system lately. I have read that my holley carburator does not like fuel pressures over 8psi. My fuel pressure guage is reading 9.5 right now. This is why I would like to intall a fuel pressure regulator. I would like to know the fuel pressure that would be best for a street only 350 that I use as a daily driver. Thanks for any help.

6.5 to 7 psi is a good start. If it's an Edelbrock carb I'd probably limit it to 6 psi.

It's a holley 550 or 560 I think. It's been awhile since I bought it.

Tom,
What brand fuel pres gage is that and is it liquid filled?

You should be at 6.5 psi.

I don't remember the brand, but it isn't liquid filled. I was looking at some regulators on summit and the low pressure regulators only go to 5psi does anyone know why?

Ordered one off of summit and some AN fittings. Shoud get here in a couple of days. Thanks for all of the advice.
