Sherwin Williams automotive products???

Who all have used Sherwin Williams paint, primers, sealers, or coatings products for their cars? I have the opportunity to get 40% off of everything in the store. I will more than likely be taking advantage of this discount. You do not hear much about them so I thought I might ask.

Excellent stuff. Been using it since 1987. You will find some painters that are pretty passionate about their paint brands, but at the end of the day most all the big names are good stuff and very similar.

IMHO The European brands are light years ahead on the domestic brands. The cost is a little higher, but the quality and coverage far exceed the cost difference.

Prodigy, do you guys also use their primers and sealers?

I have used S and W primers and they are good. The ultra fill primer is good stuff, I just have something else I am using that I like a little better and it goes with the Polyester filler I use, and it cost a bit less, but you probably cannot buy it. I do not use sealers, so I cannot comment.

Once in a while we get a cutomer that insist on a particular brad. We used all ultra expensive Glasuirt 450 line on the Vette and it was nice stuff, double the money, exactly double, and in the end no better, but also very good. I actuallt did not like it for two tones as it printed badly well past the recomended tape time. The Ultra 7 base covers as good as any brand, and the clear works as good any.
