Can you run a Richmond 5 speed with an LS2. Good/Bad??? Pain/easy??? Or better just sticking with the original T56 trans? Thanks.

Can you ?? Yes... you can. Should you ?? That... is another question all together.
Richmonds work OK for an engine that, one... does not make 650+ HP or in a chassis that can actually hook up that much power. Other considerations... the shifter is a little notchy... and you need to run numerically lower gears. Then there is the cross member... which one is going to work for you ?? Not a big problem... but an issue none-the-less.
A T-56 is and has been done with the engine package you are suggesting... so making that happen is pretty much a no brainer. The double OD doesnt hurt either.

Do you already have the Richmond? If not then I would not get one, if you do have it the only thing that would bother me is the positive feel like chicane said. Just depends on what you want or dont want to deal with. But all and all, nothing wrong with that transmission.
