We are doing a bunch of changes to the 69 Camaro we are working on, one of them is to remove the Brake Booster and Master Cylinder that is on the car to clean up the engine compartment. We want to go with the sweet looking Wilwood master cylinder set up that lots of you are running, I noticed that lots of you have no brake booster on your car, are you using a vacum pump ? Do you need it at all ?

The car has a LS2 in it, with the Synister set up on it, with AC and power steering.

The car has the Wilwood 140-7675 Front disc kit, and the 140-7139 Rear Kit (Ford 9”)

What are you guys using for your systems ?

Any places you would recommend to learn a little more about it all ?

I setup my car to use manual brakes so I could use a race style dual m/c.
I was using big Sierra calipers up front and Baer/PBR calipers on the rear.

Personally, I hated it, and ended up building a custom hydroboost setup.

But lots of people seem to work well with manual brakes. I tried several different M/C sizes but it was either too soft and mushy or too rock hard and took too much effort to stop.

Just one data point for you.
