Well, we finally got some nice weather so I could roll the car outside and take some shots of it out in the sunlight to really show what an awesome job that Kurt and Paul at Autokraft did with the car.

I'm waiting on a pair of braided flex line for the brakes and it's ready to drive. Hopefully the door panels and back seat will be done soon.

I REALLY like it. And I was wondering as I looked at it when was the last time I saw a really trick red Pro Touring 69 Camaro? As popular and over used as red is in the restoration original world, I cannot think of another red 69 PT car off the top of my head.

Very nice

Thanks guys! I might lower it a bit, but I'm waiting until the car is 100% finished before getting too worried about ride height.

The only other one, I can think of, was Shay's 69.

Scott, Awesome job, I'm loving this car. Being iun Winnipeg, I can truly understand the "finally nice weather" statement. I just pulled my car out of the corner of the garage yesterday.

Looks great Scott!!

Quick question: Do you plan on putting the drip rail trim back on??

It looks great without them, and I am debating whether I put them back on or not myself.

Scott, your car is perfect man!!
Doesn't that front bumper gap neend to be closed up a bit more. I thought the endura bumpers were tighter to the body lines.

that thing looks awesome.....

what color red is that? also, how did you get a parking brake on there with those c6 calipers? judging from the chock block, im not sure that you did, but just wondering.

They are 275's on 18x9.5's and 335's 18x12's.

It's an Endura. I really like that look.

It's extremely tight to the body, it definitely can't get any closer.

It's a custom 'recipe' that Autokraft put together after I had some spray-outs done.

The wheel chock isn't needed, I have a parking brake in the car, but the wheel chocks have always been put in to place by my 7 year old son when I'm rolling the car around. He really gets excited that he gets to help me work on the car. When he runs to get the chocks, I don't have the heart to tell him that I don't need them anymore. :)

Here's the info on the drum-in-hat parking brake setup that I'm using:

Oops, sorry, forgot to answer your question earlier in the thread. The headlights are DSE Bright Drivers. Really nice pieces.

I'll take that as a compliment as you've owned a few boring red Camaros. :D

car looks great! I too hear you about the weather - I had a 3-day weekend (we work 9hr days so every other Fri is off) and the weather was awesome here in Colorado so I worked on the race car quite a bit as well. It has been months of walking into the garage, letting the cold set in within 2 minutes, then just walking back into the house :P

I wouldn't lower the car IMO if it is mostly a streeter. I think it looks great right where it is at with a little rubber showing at the fender - it actually looks like a muscle car, as it should be. I would only lower if road racing it a lot and needing a lower cg or to correct geometry issues. Lowering may in fact screw up geometry thru motion... that would have to be verified of course.

Maybe lower it in the front for a little rake (I am partial to the old-skool hot rod rake that I grew up with on muscle cars). Get a bit of the look that started it all

Still one of my favorite RED Camaros, and you know how I hate red 1st gens. haha

I'm just glad that there are others out there that prefer OEM style paint themes and like the classic look. Too many two-toned Foose wannabe cars out there, but this look you have is timeless and will never go out of style.
