Just happened this morning at 7 am. Just about 5 miles from where I and Tom F (member here) live.

oh boy there are going to be people that want those cops badges.
The guy had both hands in the air and was surrendering and just got shot.

It looked to me like he had a gun in his right hand

Preliminary reports are that he had a gun and pointed it at officers. That's when 8-10 officers (nothing official yet) shot at him and he dropped.

It's hard to tell in the video, being black and white and so small, but I'm sure he had a gun or something that caused the officers to shoot him. Being in and around these situations I am still amazed at what people will do even when there are 10 guns pointed at them.
THEY DONT GET CAUGHT CAUSE THEY'RE SMART.

Yeah if 8 to 10 cops shot the guy...I'd say the chances are he had a gun.

Yeah, looks like he had a gun. Of course, whether it was actually a gun in his hand or not, he jumped out of the car quickly and made a furtive movement with his one hand towards the officers (he wasn't raising his hands above his head as if surrendering). Given the circumstances, I'd say this is a good shoot. Congrats to the officers for acting appropriately and being able to go home to their families that day.
Can you tell I'm biased?

Maybe he shouldn't have robbed the bank and ran from police...that probably would have saved him from getting blown away.:D

about the officer towards the rear of the action (near the right of screen) because of crossfire, but i was wrong, he must of been farther back/deeper in the background than i thought.

$10 worth of Bullets saves $40k a year for the next 30 years. Sounds like a good investment.

Dear deuce_454:
I bet it makes you feel warm and fuzzy to put these slugs in a nice place to live with cable TV, 3 Hot Square Meals a day, Free College while we are saving like Hell for our own kids to have the opportunity to go get an education. Add to that FREE Health Care while we can hardly afford it for our family, Free entertainment, Free Law Libraries (You have any idea how even those cost?)
Congical Visits, Time Off for Good behavior (How about longer time in, for bad behavior?)
Not to mention the Hardship and Hell the Families of the Victims are going through dealing with the loss of loved ones, heirloom keepsakes, plus fighting the legal system to keep the Bast*rds in Jail, the Anguish that these Rodents of Society have caused in many cases time and time again on innocent people is appalling.
You obviously haven't seen what a family goes through. You have NO FRIGGEN CLUE!
This is about Criminals who prey on the weak, the poor and law abiding people of this Country over and over again.
Yes, it's about taking them out of Society Permanently so people like you and your family members don't become next on their list.
Leave it to a Bleeding Heart Liberal to try and change the subject to include:
"Why stop there.. what about all the sick and disabled... just think of the savings!"
Based on your response above, sound like your still waiting for your B*lls to drop.
I hate Criminals and the things they do to our families and friends and you just don't get it.
Someday God forbid, you may get a good look up close and personal at this, then you might have a clue by then what people are referring to, without these ignorant, utopian ridiculous childish statements.
Let me guess, "Iraq would be better off with Saddam, right?"<sigh>

the last comment just doesnt fly.. a good friend of mine just got killed in iraq, yes we have troops there... and in afghanistan too.. and think very highly of what we, (my little country) have contributed with for the people fo iraq... and im all for the war..
i have had a young guy die in my hands because some inbred decided to stick a knife in him... and telling the family that we couldnt do anything.. well i think that gives me a friggin clue... so while i respect you oppinion, please dont be so quick to make assumptions about what i do and dont know...
but i also know people who has been on the wrong side of the law at some time... my cusin spent 2 years in prison for somthing that... yes he propably shouldnt have done, that is actually the reason for my "ignorant remark" that i know that not everyone who spends time in the shade automatically deserves a bullet... So upgrading punishment for every offence to a death sentence for financial reasons .. well you wouldnt get my vote on that one
i dont mind killing an armed criminal... for that matter you can put claymore mines infront of the teller in the bank to deal with robbers swiftly... but my remark was aimed at underscoring the bizare in bowtieracings remark...
and if you would do me the favour of attacking my remarks, and not my person we will all get along alittle better...
respectfully Jakob

Jakob:
It's to bad they closed the string before I could say the following.
As an American, I do REALLY appreciate the support your Country and any other Country has given us during this War. Big or Small they ALL add up and I respect them for that.
I concede, the last remark I made was certainly misplaced. I hadn't realized you were from Denmark and not the U.S.
Rightly or wrongly, this subject regarding the War and how some of our own people have done their best to Torpedo our efforts during it, distress me greatly.
I have read and heard many remarks similar to yours from our own people. This said however, their intended meaning and yours are/were obviously different. I assumed (Wrongly) that you/ your remark was another in a series of remarks our 5th Column over here makes on a regular basis in an effort to undermine the efforts of our President and Soldiers.
I apologies to you for this assumption, please forgive me.
In my opinion, our prisons are way to plush to resemble the deserved punishment of Killers, Rapist, Child Molesters etc. that We have here. They live much better than many of the Law Abiding people do who have not broken any very Serious Law.
In my family or through close friends have seen the continued damage of very selfish people, and it makes me very mad. I know We are not the only people who have felt this way. I do realize that many of the good people of Denmark were slaughtered by the Nazi's in WWII. Which ever the case the hard memories live on.
I have been to your country several times as far back as 1985, and have enjoyed myself immensely with the People, Food and History of your Country each time. During my first visit in 1985, I had the experience of visiting, the, "Free State of Christiana". It was quite an experience one which made quite an impression on me back then.
Before he died several years ago, I also had the privilege of meeting and being entertained by the, "Great Dane of Denmark", Victor Borge. He was a true Good Will Ambassador from Denmark to all the Countries of the World. I am sorry he is gone, but he sure introduced the World to the people of Denmark and was in many ways the closest thing many people will ever be able to experience your countries warmth and friendliness.
With this said, please accept my apology for misunderstanding your post.
I hope during this post you will know I have nothing at all against you or your Country.
With Kindest Regards,
Ty O'Neal
