Got these today and thought I'd share some pics. For those that are running C6ZO6 brakes on a Ford 9", KORE's new bracket kit will allow you to simply bolt the calipers on and use the OEM drum-in-hat parking brake. It's an extremely nice and complete kit, the plating is great, the machining on the backing plate is like art, and all fasteners are included, which are grade 8. The instructions are are extremely detailed, too.

Yep, I'm running the new big style/Torino bearings, but this kit is available in 3 different 9" housing end bolt patterns.

How much?? :)

About $700, depending on options. I ordered a several brake lines from Tobin as well.

Looks great Scott !! Great machine work on the backing plates. I'm constantly amazed at what we can buy for our cars now. Looking forward to seeing the completed deal. Thx !

Nice brackets... i just dont like the drum in hat system, it always seem to sieze up on street cars, or not work when you need it to.. but on a PT car where everything is maintaines beyond reason :D i guess its fine...

Installed the parking brake assembly this weekend. What a great kit.

Parking brake cables will be here this week and that job will be done.

Scott-

Thanks for showing the install; I'm very interested.

I have the Torino style big bearing housing ends and that's what I'd recommend. Its 2.5" housing face to axle flange gives enough room for the DIH parking brake.

Here's what Tobin at KORE told me about his brackets and Ford housings:

As far as applications go, the kit is only compatible with the Big-Bearing Torino style housing and soon to be the Small-Bearing housing as well. The old style Big-Bearing housing with 1/2" T-bolts will probably not happen due to the very short brake offset dimension of 2.36"...it's causing interference issues between components that we may not be able to get around without excessive tweaking.

Thanks!

So, from this chart, it looks as though I have the "Big Ford (New Style) housings. Is this what I need for this kit? I hope!
