A couple of years ago I never would've guessed I'd ever get a cover shot like this with my artwork. Special thanks go out to David and Rob from MCG Publishing for the honors. I'd spent months on and off working on this project with Chris Wilkins at Group 5 Limited. The new Challenger program is very exciting and Chris and I can't wait to get our hands on a new Challenger. I will be posting pics but should have the teaser webpage up within the next 24 hours which will give a basic outline on what Group 5 plans on doing with these new Challengers and what the inspiration was behind all the design elements of the 4 different cars. There's still a lot of design and development to fine tune but the basic plan and resources are just about set in place.

This is the SRT8 Roadster Concept. Just imagine, your brand new SRT8 Challenger shows up and you start modifications with chopping the roof and windshiled OFF! LOL! This Challenger will be a "true" roadster - no top. More details to come.

Thanks guys! Steve, you've always given me a lot of opportunities to work with you and Johnny at PHR and because of that I've got tons of neat published media artwork that I will be making a page for on my website that is in the process of getting updated hopefully very soon.
This has been an immense project and there's still a ton of stuff that I've done that I'll be able to release in the near future. Right now I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to reveal so I have to keep things somewhat simple.
The SRT8 Roadster is planned for SEMA 2008. All the sponsors that have worked with Group 5 in the past for SEMA cars are 100% on board and we are very excited. The inspiration for this car came from primarily from the 1969 Dodge Supercharger concept car Chrysler built back in the day along with a couple other Autorama show cars Chrysler built. The director I worked at at my first job actually owned the Dodge Supercharger concept car and he took me out for an incredibly wild ride in it before he sold it to a Mopar Collector in NJ. It was also a 2 seater roadster powered by a 440 big block engine. It was a wild car! I'll post pics of the car tonight.

The article covers details about the SRT8 Roadster, the G5/S -G5/SC, G5/R, and lastly the Sam Posey #77 Concept. It also discusses plans for a dealer program that Group 5 Limited is pursuing as far as the G5 Challengers go. It's 5 pages of renderings and text. If that's not enough reason to check out the issue, the Cuda convertible built by Mike and the guys at Time Machines is also featured in the issue and man is that car sick!
