we started this convertable on 1/15/08 . our goal is to have it ready to drive to oc md, on 5\17\08. the majority of the custom fab is done, the frame , engine and trans are done, its time for paint and final assembly. we will have the paint work done by 3/24/08, and then begin my favorite part, final assy. i will update my pics every two days. feel free to ask me any questions about the build. thanx for checking in, bill

Hey Bill, Nice 69. Those are some serious vents, and I like the exhaust openings. Is that a one off Dash, or something being produced for market?Interesting, You didn't Tubbit? More pics. Please
Looks like some kind of vents going in the fenders at the cowl Huh?

jj i did make some fender vents but every time i stood back and looked, i didnt like them, so i smoothed them back up. the dash is custom, i didnt tub it because i have to get things wrapped up before little league starts, then my time will be commited to that. plus i still like to spinn those big 20s. the vents will be toned dowm a little when i install the bezels and mesh. thanks bill

we are well into final assy. brian plaster at booze bros perf. did a heck of a nice job on the exhst ( 3 in w x pipe into borlas ). the brakes are installed and bleed.we used all willwood stuff and it was worth every penny ive tried a lot of off brands and they usually are cheaper for a reason (less r&d). the wiper motor and drives are in and working and the dash insert is ready to install. im going to spend my weekend getting the wiring done. im uploading some pics from a diff camera to see if that will help my crappy pics. bill

kevin , we made the quarter vents. we cut out the gills and just started playing around, actually the spear in the vent was a scrap laying on the floor. i picked it up and held it in place and it looked pretty cool,so i rolled with it. thats the nice thing about customs, theres no right or wrong way as long as it works and holds up. bill

ron yes im running wipers.(the its a snap kit. ) the brake set up is from eci its designed for a 55 chevey i think. i took the car a spin today and the brakes worked excellent. however i had to cut out the majortiy of the fresh air plenium to make room room for the unit.

i dont know any thing a bout duponts suede , but we all know they all sell the same proudcts but call them something diff. this clear was actually devloped in the commercial coatings line but then converted to vibrance . if they offer it in the commercial line you know it has to be tough. it really does feel like velvet. we drove the camaro 685 miles to and from oc. the weekend was great and the car made the trip with no suprises. we paraded the board walk (idiling for 1hr 45 min)thats a real cooling system test. the car was a real hit,we won a top honors trophy for the coolest rod on the beach up at the hooters/ice cream castle show. i met so many nice, down to earth people, that reminded me why i love this hobby. the wheather held out till we were 40 miles from home. look for some pics in camaro perf chuck vranas really liked the car. i am starting to plan my next build(69 camaro convert w/04 gto running gear), i am working on a spot for sema,so i better get to work the clock is ticking.

few pics from york pa. i missed the big day sat ,due to a little league b ball tourn. the car was a huge success esp. the soft touch clear & the cust metal fab. we picked up some big support for our sema project. my father, who has been doing cust fab work since the late 60s, said people really liked the out side the box thinking on the metal work & color. my dad always told me "its not what you buy its waht you build" i think hes on to something. thanx see ya in columbus well be in the ppg booth. later bill

Saw the car this weekend.. VERY nicely done.
My favorite parts are the dash cluster and the molded in rear spoiler. The rear spoiler is one of the nicest ones I've ever seen. Looks very factory.
