View Full Version : My projects finally going to start!!!!
Well after 3 years of sitting in my storage yard, my 69 CAMARO will finally get started on!! I cut my first check to Frank at PRODIGY ,for the first round of parts (DSE subframe, Quadralink, frame connectors, and mini tubs) Its going to be a big block car 572 GM crate motor, 6 speed trans, no fancy electronics just all buisness.I do'nt want to bore you with all the details. I will post pics of the build as I go. I know I'll be on this forum like a mad man asking questions, and looking for feedback on certain issues. I like this forum for alot of reasons and one of them is motivation!!! Looking at what you guys do with some of these cars is unreal. So hopefully this is what its going to look like when its done!!

and you should be in good hands with Frank.
It appears you are going with a dark black for the body and a medium black on the trim. Is that a light black in the center of the wheels? LOL
That is one mean lookin' SOB you are building. I can't wait to follow the progress!

I think you should add a little red light that goes back and forth and be the vintage KIT car.
Just kidding. That thing is going to rock! Frank and the gang will take good care of you. Please post all the pictures you can. This will be a fun car to follow.

Mario, thanks for letting me have a crack at your project. Here is a little bit bigger image with a little better resolution.
That black is black, but the chrome & trime are a special blend of non reflective chrome pigments that mimic "Black" , and the wheel centers are what is called "Magic Yellow".....
That is one of my favorite things to do when I am working the House of Kolor booth at shows. We have a candy red car in the booth and some one will ask me what color it is and I just tell them (with a straight face) that it is called "Magic Yellow"..... I just love messing with folks at shows!

I see a little 'magic yellow' on the brake calipers!
Killer car and rendering!! Looks like Prodigy gets to do another awesome Black '69. Looks mean with the whole RS front end blacked out. What kind of wheels are those? Looking forward to more pics.

The wheels are BUDNIK - VELOCITY R but this could change by the end of the build. I'm going to use all the resources on this forum to help me get this project done. Frank was the first person I called for parts help, and he did me right. Its great to work with good people:thumbsup:

I must say I really like the looks of your car!:unibrow:
Are the rear quarters flared out a bit or is that stock on the renderings they look like they might be flared?

Its actually a reflection of the environment image I used. It is a large gravel pit image that I use to light the scene with and the is how it turned out.
So to answer your question, no they are not flared in the rear.

Damn Mario that thing looks fricken SICK! Never seen the rendering. Carter is awesome, now it is your job to make the car live up to the rendering, No pressure, LOL!
I am heading to DSE to grab a few sub frames next week, and will get one coming your way. The other stuff will roll in a couple days. Thanks for the order, and look forward to helping with the rest of the project. I think we have put togther a project plan for one BAD MUTHER.

Car looks killer...you can never have enoug black:unibrow: Frank you poor SOB another black one. (I should say the poor guys in the shop!)I have a feeling after mine and dooms rolls out of your shop, you will be on a black streak you never imagined. Frank will make it a little to easy to live up to that rendering. When he starts the tripping over pennys talk just take it like a man.

Thanx Dave
I was on G-FORCE web site just about every day watching the progress of your car. All I can say is I hope my Camaro turns out half as nice as yours:hail:

Gotcha.....definitely the right guy to bounce questions off of when needed. I'll be very interested in watching your build progress as well. A lot of the things on your rendering crossed my mind in the last 2 years.

I'm going to do my best to stick to it.
