Hello everyone. First of all I just wanted to say there are some damn fine cars on this site. I'm new to the pro touring side of things but my Dad and I have restored and hot rodded cars all of my life. I've done alot of Corvettes and my Dad has done a little of everything. He's currently on a Mustang kick. I however am sick of all the numbers matching crap and I am in the planning stages of doing a pro touring C3 Corvette. I'm going to start with a 74-77 Corvette and I have found a couple cars locally that would be great to start with. I need some inspiration so if any members have any pictures of their pro touring C3 Vettes, please post 'em up. Thanks and I look forward to talking with all of you. Brian
Welcome, Brian. There are a few C3 Vettes here.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help. I have seen Chris' car in one of the Vette magazines. It is one of my favorite Corvettes ever and really is the style I want to build. I didn't know he had a website but I'm headed that way right now. Thanks again.

You might want to check out Twin_Turbo's C3. Here is an older thread:

Welcome Brian. I am a Brian also. I am also doing a C3. It is a 69 convertible. It is just about done, but as of now it is almost totally stock. It is at the shop that did the paint and body work getting the interior buttoned up, and a few other odds and ends. I plan to almost immediately start upgrading everything as soon as I get it home. Currently the plans are for:
383 stroker with roller cam, fuel injection (around 450HP) and Vintage air front runner.
TKO 600 5 speed trans
Vintage air A/C
Composite rear spring
Aluminum upper control arms
Coil over adjustable front shocks/springs
Adjustable rear shocks
SSBC aluminum calipers
Rack and pinion steering
That is about it. I am keeping the stock rallys on it, as I want the car to appear stock (with the hood closed anyway).
I have attached some chassis resto pics, but not too inspiring for a PT build. I will start posting up progress pics once the car is home.
