Got down to the Autorama today...finally. Took the digicam with me and shot about 40 pics, I know...not much. I have to apologize for some, they came out kinda dark. One of the big motivating factors for me to go this year was to see Jeff Hanson's Tech 9 finished....and it didn't disappoint. It's one of those cars that you have to allow yourself to absorb for about...4 hours before you can finally open your mouth and begin speaking. Phenomenal car. I've known Jeff for a long time and he's had a lot of cars, this one by far sits at the top of the mountain. I'm happy for him, he's a good guy and deserves it. Got to meet Mike Curtiss formerly of American Hot Rod. One of the "Great 8" cars has some of his products on it. He has his own shop called Curtiss Engineering and they do CNC stuff. Nice enough guy. And yes Duane really is an a*shole. Another car I really enjoyed was Randy Johnson's '66 Chevelle...I'm just sorry I got so much saliva all over his fender, I couldn't apologize enough. Poor guy lives in Wisconsin so he's gotta wait out this weather to stretch it's legs. I would have probably lost it by now...this car is just SCREAMING to be driven. Last but not least a stopped over to say hello to Mark and Charley but they were gone already. Damn.

Let me know if this link doesn't work. It's a photobucket account.

Hey Tony the link doesnt work for me. I always thought that Duane was that kind of a guy, as my old man would have said he acts like he needs to be took down a few notches, but hey I gave him the benefit of the doubt because the drama of T.V. guess not in his case

Thanks for the compliments Tony. Good to see you down there, besides you, I only saw Mark and Charlie from the site. Oh yeah, and Trush but he doesn't count, I see him all the time. I was a little bummed not to see anyone else from the forums. Thought there would be more of us than that? Oh well, what can ya do. Anyway, Had a great time down there. I got a feature in Super Rod out of it! That should be pretty cool. They also picked the car for their choice. There was a few magazines that picked cars for their "choice". Unfortunately, they came back about an hour later and said that the ISCA said they couldn't pick my car because I wasn't actually in the show. I was in a "invitation only" non-competition area, where non of the cars were judged, therefore, not a part of the show. I knew going in that I wasn't in competition, but was kind of bummed about that. Had I to do it over again, I would have entered in a class rather than the display I was in. I think it may have cost me for some other things as well??? Oh well, live and learn, I still had fun and at least I'll get the ink!

Agree, Jeff your car looks unbelievable in person. I was down Thursday night and saw it. You were talking with some other people and didn't get a chance to intorduce myself. Not to highjack the thread. I'm curious about your rear seat belts. Are you running a 4 point harness?
thanks,
Kevin
