to get outa bed. I got up early this morning so I could get a little run in before work. Bout 100 yards in it starts sprinkling, Im thinking this is really gonna suck. 100 yards after that I step on a rock roll my ankle and go down hard. After I roll around on the ground and clutch my ankle for a bit I tried to get up and walk, BIG MISTAKE! As soon as I put any kind of weight on ankle i collapsed. That sucked. I basicly hopped 200 or yards back to my truck. By the time I got to my truck my ankle is bout the size of a softball. Long story short after sitting around the hospital all morning and being made fun of by coworkers Its not broken just very severly sprained. I have to go back after the swelling goes down to see if there is any soft tissue injury.

The moral of the story is: dont get medical care for anything at the hospital where you work and dont run unless your being chased.

This was a hard way to get a half day off.

That sucks,I have had many sprains that were much worse than breaks. They have a way of nagging for months.

i guess smoking a pack a day, and knowing not to try jogging, has its advantages afterall :D

I recently broke my foot in a certain -ahem- altercation with the police.

I sat in jail for two days moanin, but with no medical attention, before I could get to a doctor. He verified that it was broken but I had waited too long to come in to even put a cast on (it was too swollen). I wore one of those boots for a couple weeks but got tired of it. I'm still limping. :(

I have no insurance so all I could do was pay for x-rays and go "yep, at least I wasn't pissing and moaning for nothing".

Yup, those charity Police softball games are a killer sometimes.

I cased a double about ten years ago but didn't wad up. Everyone thought I was just bellyaching until we saw the X-Rays. Luckily no pins, screws or plates.

I finally got my boots off after over 12 hours of work. Its soooooo black and blue. I probably shouldn't have left the crutches in the truck.
