Classic Industries Door Shells

I plan on ordering a set of door shells and was curious if anyone has had any luck with Classic Industries' shells? I've ordered body parts from most of the major suppliers and have found some fit perfectly while others...well, not so much!

I bought both doors for my '69 Camaro from them. The left side fit pretty good. The right side is another story.... I have the striker all the way in and the rear of the door hangs out from the quarter panel a bit. It's bad enough that I've had people ask me if the door isn't latched. Also, I don't know if it's the body line of the door or the front fender that I got from Classic Industries also, but the fender line is out farther than the door line. I pushed the fender in as far as I could while tightening to try and get it to line up better, but it still hangs out some. Then again. that might all be because the rear of the door is angled out a little. Not sure.

That's what I was afraid of. I think I might be better off with the ones from Goodmark. I've had good luck with their stuff. Thanks for the pics, that's a beautiful car!

I'm trying Dynacorn part on the one I'm doing now. The exterior panels are fine on it so I won't be able to see if they are better than OER. I'm having to put from the dash to the tail panel in. I've bought the trunk floor and the one piece floor pan for the driver's compartment. Haven't had a chance to install them yet.

Most of the sheet metal parts are stamped in the same place and names for who buys them is stamped on them or just reboxed. I have seen alot of the doors and trunk lids need tweaked to help them line up. Most of them are not spot welded very good so we tweak them in place and respot weld them. I buy all my sheet metal wholesale and can pass some pretty good savings on to anyone looking for a good deal!

I've heard that this is a problem with the door shells. They are a little too "thick". I'm trying the reskin route first to see if I have better luck w/that and the drivers side came out pretty good. I still have to adjust the door back towards the stricker but I didn't have any problem with the "thickness". The skins are goodmark from Ricks First Gen.
