Looks like Caroll lost in court. I think he was claiming he owned Eleanor. Which he didn't own. The director of the original movie own the rights and he had passed away but the widow was fighting Caroll, I think she had Disney on her side also.

Gotta wonder how long it will take before Ford's legal team jumps all over these idiots for not noting in their advertisment that "Mustang" is a Ford trademark and that the image/shape of the car is Ford's intellectual property too...LOL

I wonder how the unique performance situation will affect the sales of these cars?Seems to me buyers would be skeptical to buy it since the whole title washing ordeal etc...

my thoughts exactly! Wouldn't Chip have to sign off on someone re-producing the vehicles?

Unique Performance comes to mind as the company name. Is that correct?

Unique Performance got in trouble for title washing and changing vins on cars and a lot of unhappy buys promising a car in 6 months and not delivering the car tell 2 years later. And read this http://www.fixeleanor.com/ as far as the company linked theres a lot of them selling these cars but Unique Performance had Shelby backing them so most people went to them.To me eleanor will always be a 73 mach1 from the first movie the gt500e is a fad that will blow over.I already have started seeing them sell for less then what it cost to build them.Yeah ford is anal about there cars even if you own the car you still have to get there permisson to have your car in anything thats published.Only things i see different from theres and Unique Performance is Shelby did sign the glove box and the rear suspension Unique Performance used tcp 3 link there is tcp g bar.And the gas cap on there is a 71-73 mustang one Unique Performance used a lemans one like the ac cobra. And the badge on the dash says limited edition gone in 60 seconds.

i was under the impression that Unique Performance had licensing agreements with Shelby for the Eleanor Mustang and Chip for the Foose Camaro, however I don't know if Foose had ever provided a licence for Eleanor.
