So, what was the final count on weeks between order and delivery? I gotta be honest, the horror stories I've heard about their wait time makes me not even want to consider them. I could have a fabricator I know build one much quicker if I pay him enough.

Tony, the lead time is 6-8 weeks on average, but well worth the wait!
I supplied Rick's my A1000 pump and pre-filter so they could hard pipe it all together for me. Great guys to work with!

Thanks Chris!
Right now I'm converting the rear street rod style 4-bar links over to DSE Swivel Links. Just about done with that and then it's time to paint the rearend and new links. Can't wait to get it back on the ground!

Looks nice Tony, I kinda wish the forward corners on the one I have were lopped off like that, for exhaust clearance... I just may send it back to Ricks to have them do it, if it turns out to be an issue.

I got one for my Chevelle and had to have an adjustment made on a fitting so I took it to a welding company that does mostly production/construction work even some jobs with IBM - they concentrate on aluminum/SS. They looked over Rick's tank and said the work was top notch - when I told them the price they said for materials and quality it was a good price (they said you get what you pay for and there's a huge difference between an OK welder, a good welder, and a top notch welder). As for lead-time, it works out well when your doing a build because you can absorb and factor in 5-6weeks. There's a reason they have long-lead times - its a reflection of quality and demand. I hope they don't hire a couple novice welders and try to just ship orders.... good things come to those that wait (at least in this case).

Happy to hear this!!
I suspect that their deal with Jeg's keeps them extremely busy. They have a lot of part numbers available there and any custom tanks would have to be worked into their schedule.

Good point. I just go my Rick's tank about a few weeks back. I think it took about 8-9 weeks but worth the wait. Looks nice Tony

I bought mine 2 years ago and have still not installed it..
What are you guys doing for a vent ?? Mine has a vent hole but no valve etc. I was considering just changing to a vented cap since I'm pretty sure the one I have on there is not...

When ordering a custom application you should always suspect longer than usual. No doubt their Jeg's deal is keeping them buried - no to mention everybody else tugging at them. They built me a custom tank that turned out unreal. It did take along time to receive it but we'll worth the wait. Fortunately I was not in a big hurry.
