For all the suspension gurus on here,my friend and i had a argument over him putting a mustang 2 kit in his 68 mustang he kept going on how it will handle better.I told him it would handle worse since the suspension wasn't designed for that car.Who right me or him thank you for your time.

There are way too many variables in your question, so I will say you are both right.

There are way too many variables in your question, so I will say you are both right.

Just to clarify-

Is it a front sub or just a crossmember kit?
OE MII geometry ?
Does your friend have experience with installing front suspensions?
Is your friend just looking to have it be better than stock or is looking for 1g performance?

If it's a Chinese MII special hot off of E-bay that's poorly installed then I would say you are right. If it is a high quality kit with aftermarket Wilwood spindles, longer control arms and either a fully welded clip or your friend is a good fabricator, I would say he is going to be right. Hope this helps!

Its a heidt one hes looking at the reason he wants one is its cheaper then a disc swap and rack and pinion would be for the mustang.I just don't trust the way it puts all the load on the frame rails instead of the firewall and wheels like ford designed it.I believe its got oem mustang 2 spindles on it only thing that don't look oem is the coil overs and control arms.

Regarding the Heidts MII suspension, there have been many people with great results. Especially those who wanted to delete the shock towers for more engine room. In fact we are either going with this suspension, or the RSS Shock tower notching kit with another suspension setup.

His is a 68 only reason to lose the shock towers in it is for a mod motor he just wanted one because its cheaper then disc and and a rack and pinion.I have global west coil overs in mine and i love them.
